BET Exam 2025 on 13 May Advantages for clearing BET
The Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2025 application process has officially started. The Last of registration is March 28, 2025. Candidates aspiring for the DBT-Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) can now apply online. BET is conducted by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, for awarding fellowships to eligible candidates pursuing research in biotechnology and related fields. The Selection will be based on Test.
Selected candidates will be awarded Rs. 37,000/- per month as Junior Research Fellowship for 2 years from the date of issued of award letter.
Thereafter, on successful defense of the 3 members Evaluation Committee, the fellow will be nominated as Senior Research Fellow or will be awarded an enhanced monthly fellowship of Rs. 42,000/-
In addition, the DBT JRF/SRF will be entitled to HRA and contingency benefits of Rs. 30,000/- per month fellow on a proportionate basis

Fellowship Details
- Category I: Candidates will be eligible for the DBT-JRF fellowship and can enroll in any recognized PhD program in India.

Educational Qualifications
- Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in B.E>/ B.Tech./ MBBS and Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech./M.V.Sc.) in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or allied life sciences.
- General/OBC/EWS candidates must have at least 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA), while SC/ST/PwD candidates must have 55% marks.
- Final-year students awaiting results may also apply.

BET 2025 Exam Pattern Overview
The Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2025 will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, lasting 3 hours. The exam will feature Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and carry a total of 300 marks. The exam pattern is divided into two sections: Part A, which assesses knowledge in General Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, and related subjects, and Part B, focusing on Biotechnology and its allied subjects.
