CBSE new Sub Regional office in Agartala-CBSE to attend the performance of state-run CBSE-affiliated schools in Tripura, the CBSE has decided to opening of a sub-regional office in Agartala. This was done in an effort to support educational reforms and improve academic outcomes in the region, following public dissatisfaction with state-run Vidyajyoti Schools’ performance.

We would like to put forth that 125 state-run schools in Tripura were converted into Vidyajyoti Schools, with an English-medium CBSE curriculum replacing the Bengali-medium syllabus previously supplied by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education.

Vidyajyoti Schools are more responsive to the students need as it provides special attention to weak students. Mid Day meal was also started there. One tribal language has been introduced with English and Bengali.

The new adjustment had difficulties, with a 61% pass percentage in the CBSE Class 10 exams and only 59% in the Class 12 exams this year.
The state government will provide land for new sub regional office,for the time being this office will function from the Ramakrishna mission Vidyalaya building in Agartala.
