GAT B Exam Pattern Overview

The GAT B exam consists of two sections: Section A and Section B. Section A contains 60 multiple-choice questions at the 10+2 level, covering Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. Candidates must attempt all 60 questions, and this section carries a total of 60 marks.

Section B comprises 100 multiple-choice questions at the graduate/bachelor’s level, focusing on Basic Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, and allied areas. Although there are 100 questions, candidates must attempt only 60, and this section carries a total of 180 marks.

Overall, the exam features 160 questions, with candidates required to attempt 120 questions. The total marks for the exam are 240.
