IIT JAM Registration 2025, Last date has been extended till October 18, 2024. Now candidates can apply for IIT JAM 2025 till October 18, 2024, Instead of October 11, 2024.
The IIT JAM 2025 (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc)-Registration process is starting from September 3 and will close in October 18, 2024. IIT JAM is an entrance exam conducted for admission to various M.Sc.Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other post-bachelor degree programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). We have mentioned the course and which IIT offers this course in this article.This year IIT Delhi will organize the JAM 2025 and it has launched the logo.
IIT Goa is not included in this list of offering admission MSc courses.
Before attempting JAM 2025 candidates must understand the exam patter which is given here.
Applications for Admissions must be submitted online at https://joaps.iitm.ac.in by paying a non-refundable application fee of ₹750/
The candidates have to satisfy Eligibility Requirement and Minimum Educational Qualification (MEQs). This process will done for admission by admitting institutes only and the Organizing Institute will not respond to any queries in this regard
Seat Confirmation Fee
The candidates who are offered seats, these have to deposit the seat booking fee of Rs.15,000 for General/OBC-NCL/EWS category and Rs.7500 for SC/ST/PWD category online within the stipulated time period

Jam Exam Pattern
The JAM 2025 Examination for all the seven Test Papers will be Computer Based Test (CBT) where the candidates will be shown the questions in a random sequence on a computer screen. For all the seven Test Papers, the duration of the examination will be of 3 hours*. The medium for all the Test Papers will be only in English. There will be a total of 60 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The entire paper will be divided into three sections A, B and C. All sections are compulsory. Questions in each section will be of different types as given below.
Section A it contains total of 30 MCQs that involves 10 question of One Mark each and 20 questions of two marks each. Each MCQ has four choices out of which only choice is has the correct answer
Section B It carries 10 MSQ (Multiple Select Questions) which carry two marks each MSQ is similar to MCQ. The MSQ may have one or more than one correct answer out of the four choices. The candidates get full credit only if he/she chooses all the correct answers and no wrong answer.
Section C It has total 20 Numerical Answer Type(NAT) questions that involves 10 Questions of one mark and 10 question of two marks. For NAT questions the anwer is a signed real number which needs to be entered using the virtual numeric keypad on the monitor. No choices will be shown for NAT questions.
Important
Questions not attempted will result in zero mark. In Section A MCQ wrong answer will result in negative marks. For each wrong answer to 1 Mark questions,1/3 mark will be deducted and similarly for each wrong answer to 2 mark questions,2/3 mark will be deducted.
In section B MSQ and Section C there are no negative or partial marking.
