How to challenge the Answer key 2026

To challenge the provisional JEE Main answer key, candidates must log in to the official NTA website using their application number and date of birth or password during the designated window, typically 3-5 days after key release.​

Step-by-Step Process

Follow these steps on jeemain.nta.nic.in to raise objections effectively.​

  1. Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in and click “Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key.”
  2. Log in with your credentials to access the provisional key and your responses.
  3. Select the question ID(s), mark the claimed correct option, and upload supporting documents (e.g., textbook references in PDF).
  4. Pay ₹200 non-refundable fee per question via net banking, card, or UPI; proceed to submit.

Special Notes

Candidates must know that their subject expert will review your challenges, may alter the final key and refund fees. The window is time-bound (e.g., up to 11:50 PM on specified dates), and no offline mode exists. Track status via login post-submission.

TA accepts specific supporting documents as proof when challenging the provisional JEE Main answer key, primarily scanned PDFs or images of relevant textbook pages, reference books, or official syllabi clearly showing the disputed answer.​

Upload clear, legible proofs justifying the objection; illegible or irrelevant files lead to rejection.​
