Eligibility
Admission to the Post-Basic MSc. Nursing course will be based on the AMRU entrance test, and only female candidates are eligible.
Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Nursing Admission
1. General Eligibility (Entrance Test Merit Basis)
- AMRU MSc Nursing Admission 2026 will be based on the merit of the AMRU Entrance Test and is open to eligible female candidates.
- Candidate must be a Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM) with H.P. State Nurses Registration Council or any State Nursing Registration Council.
- Must have completed B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing from a recognized institution with minimum 55% aggregate marks.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience after B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing registration is required. Experience certificate must be uploaded during application.
2. In-Service Quota Eligibility
- Reserved for in-service Nursing Cadre candidates of Government of Himachal Pradesh.
- Adhoc, contractual, and Rogi Kalyan Samiti appointees may also be considered as per prospectus rules.
- Candidate must have completed minimum 5 years of service on the last date of application submission.
- In-service candidates must obtain and upload a Provisional NOC-cum-Eligibility Certificate from DME&R/DHS, H.P. through proper channel.
- Only candidates with a valid Provisional NOC will be eligible for counselling.
- Final NOC from the competent authority must be produced at the time of admission; failure to submit it will result in cancellation of admission.

Registration and Application Details
1. Registration Instructions
Candidates are advised to use a Laptop or Computer along with the latest registered version of Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Firefox browsers during the Registration and Choice-Filling process. The system should be compatible with Windows or iOS operating systems to avoid any technical complications.
2. Personal Details to be Filled

- Fill all columns of the AMRU MSc Nursing Admission 2026 application form carefully to avoid errors.
- Candidate’s name, father’s name, and date of birth must be entered exactly as per the matriculation certificate.
- Any variation in personal details may lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Information related to Date of Birth, Category, State of Domicile, Examination Centre, and Qualification will be considered final.

Important Notes
- All eligible State Quota candidates must fill the Management Quota category in the online application form.
- Management Quota seats will be allotted only if the candidate fills the AMRU HP colleges choice for Management Quota.
- Widows/Wards of Defence Personnel/Ex-Servicemen will be considered according to priority rules.
- Once the category is filled, it cannot be changed after declaration of result/merit.
- The candidate will remain under the category applied during online registration.
