The scheme launched by Tamil Nadu government for the male students of underprivileged students. This scheme is for the students who want to continue their studies after passing out from school. It is for the students who are pursuing higher education in engineering, medical, law and other equivalent courses.
The August 9 will be the day when this scheme will be launched in the state. Under this scheme, the students will receive Rs.1000 every month by the government. Around three lakh students will be benefitted by the Pudhalvan Scheme.

The total spending by the government in this is scheme is Rs.360 crore.
The Pudhalvan Scheme was announced in the event in the programme called College Dream 2024.
The chief Minister MK Stalin said we are distributing Rs.1000 every month to girl students under Pudhumai Penn scheme and as many as 2.73 Lakh girl students are benefitting from scheme
