WBJEE 2026 Exam Dates- The exam date will be released by the board and it will be conducted on April 2026. It will conduct OMR based Common Entrance Examination (WBJEE-2026) for admission in the academic session 2026-27 for Undergraduate Courses in Engineering/Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture courses of different Universities, Government Colleges as well as Self-Financing Engineering/Technological Institutes in the State of West Bengal.

Paper and Rank

GMR- Candidates appearing in both paper-I and paper-II are eligible for a General Merit Rank (GMR) and a Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR). Such candidates may be considered for admission in all courses of Engineering and Pharmacy.

PMR-Candidates appearing only in paper II are eligible for PMR only. Such candidates may be considered for admission into Pharmacy courses only (except at Jadavpur University).

 Candidates appearing only in Paper I are not eligible for any rank.

Who is eligible check?

You have passed 10+2 in the year 2025 or are appearing in the 2026 exam

Eligibility

Agriculture stream (for Agriculture Engineering).

Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship

Must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category, i.e., SC,ST,OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD)taken together in three subject

OR

Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.

Agriculture stream (for Agriculture Engineering).

Must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category, i.e., SC,ST,OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD)taken together in three subjects as mentioned in table 8.4 in AICTE Approval Process Handbook-2024 and as annexed (Appendix-7). OR Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.

University level Criteria for Agriculture

Must have passed in English in the 12th standard (10+2) or equivalent examination with at least 30% marks

General criteria for admission to Pharmacy courses

Candidate must have passed the ‘10+2’ examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical/project wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above

Percentage-45 Percent for General Candidates and for reserved category it is 40 Percent

Architecture

10+2 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together with individual pass marks and also 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination.

Marine Engineering General criteria

60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together with individual pass marks (both in theory and practical/project wherever applicable) in each of the said subjects. Minimum of 50% marks in English as a subject in either the ‘10’ standard or in the ‘10+2’ standard.

Special Admission Criteria University wise

University of Calcutta

60 Percent marks in 10+2 and 60 percent marks in Mathematics

For Reserved Category it is 45 percent marks and 30 per cent in Mathematics

Jadavpur University

Engineering/Technology and Pharmacy courses:

60 percent over all and 60 percent marks in Mathematics

For reserved category it is 45 percent and 30 percent in Mathematics

Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswa Vidyalaya (B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering)

10+2 in PCM with 50 percent marks along with English

For Reserved Category it is 40 percent

West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (B. Tech in Dairy Technology)

Candidates has passed 10+2 PCM with 50 percent marks and English as compulsory Subject

Reserved Category 40 per cent

Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya

You have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations from a recognized Council/ Board in regular class mode with English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Agriculture as compulsory subjects with 45 percent

40 per cent for reserved category students

JIS University

BTech

‘10+2’ examination with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology /Computer Science/Computer Application/Technical VocationalSubject as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular class mode.

B. Pharm:

10+2’ examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology as compulsory subject with 60 percent

Reserved Category students with 55 Percent

Techno India University, West Bengal

BTech

PCM with 45 percent marks PCM or 45% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science, with individual pass marks in both theory and practical. A minimum of 60% marks is required in both the ‘10’ and ‘10+2’ examinations from any recognized board.

BTech (Lateral Entry)

The ‘10’ and Diploma examinations with at least 60% marks.

B.Arch

PCM in 10+2 with 60 percent Marks in 10 and 10+2 with NATA score

B.Pharm

‘10+2’ examination, achieving at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, OR 45% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Biology, with individual pass marks in both theory and practical

A minimum of 60% marks is required in both the ‘10’ and ‘10+2’ examinations from any recognized board

B.Tech (Biotechnology)

B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering:

Minimum 60% aggregate in 10 +2 or equivalent from any recognized board with PM + Chem/ Bio. Tech/ Biology/Technical Vocational /Computer Science/ Computer Application (with min 45% marks in respective subject).

BTech Admission

Electrical Engineering: Minimum 55% aggregate in 10 +2 or equivalent with PM + Chem/ BioTech/ Biology/Technical Vocational/Computer Science/ Computer Application (with min 45% marks).

Electronics and Communication Engineering: Minimum 55% aggregate in 10 +2 or equivalent with PM + Chem/ BioTech/ Biology/Technical Vocational/Computer Science/ Computer Application (with min 45% marks).

Mechanical Engineering: Minimum 55% aggregate in 10 +2 or equivalent with PM + Chem/ BioTech/ Biology/Technical Vocational/ComputerScience/ Computer Application (with min 45% marks).

B.Tech Civil Engineering: Minimum 55% aggregate in 10 +2 or equivalent from any recognized board with PM + Chem/ Bio. Tech/ Biology/Technical Vocational(with min 45% marks in respective subject).

B.Tech (Biotechnology): Minimum 60% aggregate in 10 +2 or equivalent from any recognized board with PC + Mathematics/Bio.Tech /Biology / Technical Vocational with 45% in respective subject
