Action against candidates found guilty of misconduct: The candidates, if found guilty of doing the following things, will be barred from appearing in the exam S. No. Type of Malpractice Debarment Period 1 Taking away any examination related material (rough sheets, Commission copy of admit card, answer sheet, etc.) from the exam hall or passing it to unauthorized persons. 2 years 2 Leaving the examination venue uninformed during the examination. 2 years 3 Misbehaving, intimidating, or threatening examination functionaries (Supervisor, Invigilator, Security Guard, Commission’s representatives, etc.). 3 years 4 Obstructing the conduct of examination or instigating other candidates not to take the examination. 3 years 5 Making incorrect or false statements, suppressing material information, or submitting fabricated documents. 3 years 6 Obtaining support or influence for candidature by any irregular or improper means. 3 years 7 Possession of a mobile phone, whether in ‘switched on’ or ‘switched off’ mode. 3 years 8 Appearing in the same examination more than once in contravention of the rules. 3 years 9 A candidate who is also working on examination related matters in the same examination. 3 years 5 Years to 7 years 10 Damaging examination related infrastructure or equipment. 5 years 11 Appearing in the examination with a forged admit card, identity proof, etc. 5 years 12 Possession of firearms or weapons during the examination. 5 years 13 Assault, use of force, or causing bodily harm to examination functionaries (Supervisor, Invigilator, Security Guard, Commission’s representatives, etc.). 7 years 14 Threatening or intimidating examination functionaries with weapons or firearms. 7 years 15 Using unfair means in the examination hall (copying from unauthorized sources such as written material on paper or body parts, etc.). 7 years 16 Possession of Bluetooth devices, spy cameras, or any other electronic gadgets in the examination hall. 7 years 17 Impersonation or procuring impersonation by any person. 7 years 18 Taking snapshots or making videos of question papers or examination material, labs, etc. 7 years 19 Sharing examination terminals through remote desktop software/apps, LAN, WAN, etc. 7 years 20 Attempting to hack or manipulate examination servers, data, or examination systems at any point (before, during, or after the exam). 7 years Action against candidates found guilty of misconduct: The candidates, if found guilty of doing the following things, will be barred from appearing in the exam S. SSC MTS & Havaldar Examination 2025: PET and PST Full Details (as of 9 March 2026) PET/PST has NOT been conducted yet for the 2025 cycle (Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025). The Computer Based Examination (CBE) was held in February 2026. Tentative Answer Key was released on 3 March 2026. The final result (shortlist for PET/PST) is expected in April–May 2026. Only after that will CBIC/CBN release the PET/PST schedule, city intimation, and admit cards. Important: PET/PST is only for Havaldar posts (CBIC & CBN). MTS (non-Havaldar) posts have no physical test — selection is based only on CBE merit + Document Verification. If you fail PET/PST, you are still eligible for MTS posts as per your CBE merit. Official Physical Standards (from SSC Notification dated 27 June 2024) 1. Physical Standard Test (PST) – Measured on the day of PET Male Candidates Height: 157.5 cm (relaxable by 5 cm for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas & Scheduled Tribes) Chest: 81 cm (fully expanded) with minimum expansion of 5 cm Female Candidates Height: 152 cm (relaxable by 2.5 cm for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas & Scheduled Tribes) Weight: 48 kg (relaxable by 2 kg for the same categories) 2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Qualifying in nature (Walking Test) Male: 1600 meters walking in 15 minutes Female: 1 km walking in 20 minutes No running or cycling option — it is strictly a walking test. You get only one chance (no re-test on the same day). Pregnant women or PwBD candidates with specific disabilities (OL, OAL, LC, etc.) may get exemption with proper medical certificate. No heavy jewellery or items allowed. Preparation Tips (Start Now!) Male: Practice walking 1600m daily. Aim to finish in 12–13 minutes (build buffer). Female: Practice 1 km walking. Aim to finish in 16–17 minutes. Measure your height, chest (male), and weight regularly at home. Maintain healthy BMI — sudden weight loss/gain can affect measurements. Do light cardio (brisk walking, jogging) 4–5 days a week. Get a full medical check-up in advance. Pro Tip: Many candidates fail only because of chest expansion or exact height measurement. Stand straight, breathe normally, and get measured accurately at a government hospital beforehand.
