TANCET 2025 Counseling: The result for TANCET 2025 was declared along with the CEETA PG entrance test. The scorecard will be released on 7 May and can be downloaded from the website till 6 June. After the result is declared, the seats are allotted on the basis of the rank that a candidate got in the entrance test. We have given the whole process of counselling below.

TANCET 2025 counselling is the centralized admission process for MBA and MCA programs in Tamil Nadu, conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Chennai. The process is entirely online and open to candidates who have qualified in the TANCET 2025 exam.

Counselling Process Steps

  1. Registration: Eligible candidates must register online at tn-mbamca.com during the specified window57.
  2. Document Upload: Candidates need to upload scanned copies of required documents for verification.
  3. Certificate Verification: Online verification of uploaded documents.
  4. Rank List Publication: DTE publishes the TANCET rank list based on exam scores and eligibility5.
  5. Choice Filling: Candidates fill in their preferred colleges and courses online.
  6. Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on rank, preferences, and reservation norms.
  7. Confirmation & Reporting: Candidates confirm their allotted seat and report to the respective college.

  • Class 10th and 12th marksheets (or Diploma certificate)
  • Graduation marksheets (all semesters)
  • Provisional degree certificate
  • Permanent community certificate
  • TANCET score card
  • TANCET hall ticket
  • PwD certificate (if applicable)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nativity: Only Tamil Nadu candidates are eligible; a Nativity Certificate is required.
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
  • Entrance Exam: Must have appeared for TANCET 2025.
  • No age limit prescribed

  • Open Competition (OC): 31%
  • Backward Classes (BC): 26.5%
  • Most Backward Class/Identified Communities: 20%
  • SC (Arunthathiyar): 3%
  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 1%
  • Backward Class Muslims: 3.5%

Important Points

  • The process is online, including registration, document upload, and choice filling.
  • Candidates can participate in subsequent rounds if not satisfied with their allotment.
  • Missing the first round makes candidates ineligible for later rounds.
  • The final allotment after the last round is binding
