IMA Admission 2025 Counseling Process – Complete Guide

IMA will start the counseling process for admission 2025-26 after the successful conduct exam. The Institute of Mathematics and Applications (IMA), Bhubaneswar, will start the counseling process in July 2025. The IMA admission 2025 counselling will happen for:

• B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics and Computing
• M.A./M.Sc. in Mathematics with Computational Finance
• M.A./M.Sc. in Mathematics with Data Science

Here is a simple step-by-step guide to help you understand how the IMA counseling process works:

1. Check Counseling Notification

• After the result is announced, IMA will publish a counseling notice on its official website – www.iomaorissa.ac.in
• This notice will include the date, time, venue, and list of candidates called for counseling.
• Make sure to download and carefully read the notice.

2. Download Counseling Call Letter (If Applicable)

• Some candidates may need to download a counseling call letter or counseling invitation from the website.
• Use your application number and date of birth to log in and download it.

3. Attend Counseling on the Given Date

• Report to the IMA campus in Bhubaneswar on the scheduled date and time.
• Make sure to carry all required documents (original and photocopies).
• Arrive early to avoid last-minute stress.

4. Document Verification

• You will be called for document verification.
• IMA officials will verify your:
  • Educational certificates
  • Entrance exam score
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Identity proof, etc.
• Only verified candidates will be allowed to participate in the seat allotment.

5. Course Allotment and Confirmation

• Based on your rank, course preference, and seat availability, a course will be allotted to you.
• Once allotted, you have to confirm your seat by paying the admission fee within the given deadline.

5. Bachelor’s Degree Marksheet & Certificate (For M.A./M.Sc. admission)
6. Transfer Certificate (TC) from the last institution
7. Migration Certificate (if applicable)
8. Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS – if applicable)
9. Photo ID Proof (Aadhar Card, Voter ID, etc.)
10. Passport Size Photographs (2–4 copies)
11. Domicile Certificate (if required)
12. Other Documents (if mentioned in the official notice)
