NIDM Internship 2025-26: The NIDM non-stipendary (non-stipend) internship is an ongoing program offered by the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), open throughout the year to eligible undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in disaster risk reduction and management. Upon successful completion, the candidate will receive a certificate.

- Eligibility:
- Students in the final year of graduation or in any year/semester of postgraduate MPhil/Phd from recognised institutes.
- Subjects-Development std, Economics, Social Sciences, Environmental Science, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Mass Communication, Management, Engineering, Health Science, and Architecture Design
- Minimum 60% marks in relevant disciplines.
- Duration:
- Minimum: 2 months
- Maximum: 6 months.
- Number of Interns: Up to 20 non-stipend interns at any given time.
- Nature of Internship:
- Non-stipendiary (no financial stipend paid).
- Interns participate in hands-on learning, contribute to NIDM activities, and usually attend workshops, seminars, and training programs.
- Required to submit an internship report as part of completion.
- Support Provided:
- Logistics support (office space, access to internet and computers).
- Opportunity to learn from experts and attend various events organized by NIDM during the internship period.
- Certification: An official certificate is issued upon successful completion and submission of the final report as per guidelines.
- Application Process:
- Applications are accepted year-round on the basis of the NIDM’s requirements.
- Interested candidates must send their applications, along with a CV in the prescribed format, duly forwarded by the nominating institution to NIDM (both hard and soft copies).
- Selection is based on qualifications and experience as evaluated by NIDM’s executive office.
