BPSC AEDO Negative Marking 2025
There are negative marking for each wrong Answer. In this recruitment 1/3rd marks will be deducted on each wrong answer.
BPSC AEDO Merit List 2025
The BPSC will prepare the merit list entirely on the basis of General Studies and Aptitude scores. Moreover, the marks obtained in these two sections will directly decide each candidate’s ranking in the final selection. In contrast, the language paper will serve only as a qualifying paper, and its marks will not contribute to the merit list. Therefore, a candidate’s overall merit will depend solely on their performance in the core subjects of General Studies and Aptitude.
Admit Card Details
The recruitment authority will release the admit card soon on the official website. Candidates must download it online using their registration number and password. The admit card will carry important details like exam date, time, venue, and instructions.
BPSC AEDO Exam Date 2025

BPSC AEDO 2025 Detailed Syllabus
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the syllabus and exam pattern for the recruitment of Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) 2025. The selection process will be completed into three stage Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination, and Interview. See detail syllabus in below information.
Preliminary Examination Syllabus
The preliminary examination will serve as a screening test. It will be objective type (MCQs). The syllabus mainly includes General Studies and General Aptitude.
General Studies TopicsGeneral Studies Current Affairs (National & International Important national and international events, Government policies, schemes, and programs, Major appointments, awards, sports, and conferences, International organizations (UN, WHO, IMF, World Bank, WTO). Indian History Ancient, Medieval, and Modern Indian history, Indian Freedom Movement with special reference to Bihar, Social, cultural, and political movements. Geography Physical geography of India (climate, soils, rivers, vegetation), World geography (continents, oceans, resources).Geography of Bihar – rivers, climate, agriculture, industries, natural resources. Indian Polity & Governance Constitution of India (features, preamble, fundamental rights, duties), Directive Principles of State Policy, Parliament, State Legislature, Executive and Judiciary, Local governance in Bihar – Panchayati Raj institutions, urban bodies. This section tests logical reasoning, mathematical skills, and analytical ability.Quantitative Aptitude Number system, simplification, HCF & LCM, Percentage, ratio & proportion, average, Profit & loss, simple and compound interest, Time, speed, distance, work and wages, Data interpretation (tables, graphs, charts). The Interview is final stage for selection. In the final stage authority with estimate the candidates personality, communication, and suitability for the role of AEDO.
