The Maharashtra New Employment and Skill Scheme 2025: the Maharashtra government is taking new step which is going to be a major initiative by the Maharashtra government to skill 75,000 young people annually with job-oriented short-term courses aligned to industry needs.
The scheme may start from October 9, 2025, over 2,500 training batches will run across 419 government-run Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and 141 government technical schools in the state.
Youth will get training keeping in mind fast-growing areas like electric cars, solar power, and Artificial Intelligence (AI. It will include modern topics such as drone technology and cybersecurity. They even include unique topics like being a social media influencer and job opportunities related to the Kumbh Mela.

- The youth of the state will get market-relevant skill training in emerging and traditional sectors such as additive manufacturing, aerospace fitting, electric vehicles, solar energy, drone technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and green hydrogen.
- There are special;batches on women, differently-abled persons, and youth from remote areas, providing skills like semiconductor technology, home appliances repair, fashion technology, and more.
- The government is planning to keep fees between ₹1,000 and ₹5,000 per month to ensure affordability.
- ITI students of the state will get benefits as 25% of seats are meant for current ITI students, while the rest are open to external candidates.
- The process of enrolment will be fully online through the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training’s website.
