TG TET 2026 Exam
The exam will begin on January 3 and continue till January 31, 2026. TG TET is for two papers: Paper 1 for teaching classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 for teaching classes 6 to 8. The exam mode is offline with a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes per paper.
The application fee is ₹750 for either Paper 1 or Paper 2 and ₹1000 for both papers. Candidates can apply online at the official TG TET website (https://tgtet.aptonline.in) or the Telangana School Education

TGTET 2026 for two papers
TGTET-January-2026 will be for 2 papers, namely Paper-I & Paper-II. The candidates who wish to be teachers for classes I to V have to appear for Paper I and the candidates who intend to be teachers for classes VI to VIII have to appear for Paper II. The candidates who intend to be teachers for all classes from I to VIII have to appear for both papers i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II.
In service candidates
The candidates who in service of teaching in Government, Local Authority and Private (Aided and Unaided) management Schools can also appear for TGTET conducted by the State government or CTET conducted by the Central Government. ii. Secondary Grade Teachers and LFL Head Masters working in Government and Local Body Schools appointed with both D.El.Ed. and B.Ed. qualification can appear for Paper I iii. School Assistants, Language Pandits and Head Masters of High Schools are can appear for Paper II

TG TET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education).
OR
B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In respect of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to B.Ed., course prior to issue of guidelines dt. 23-12- 2015.
OR
4-year B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks, in case of SC / ST / BC / Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. OR (iv) Graduation with language concerned as one of the optional subjects
OR
Bachelor of oriental language (or its equivalent) OR Graduation in literature OR Post Graduation in language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate / B.Ed with language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers.

How to choose TG TET 2026 Language Paper
For TG TET Paper-I, candidates must choose their Language-I from the following eight languages offered as the first language in schools under the State Syllabus: Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Gujarati. Candidates should have compulsorily studied the chosen Language-I either as the medium of study or as the first language at least up to Class X.
Candidates who studied under the CBSE or ICSE curriculum can select the language they have studied up to Class X as their Language-I.
Note: Language-II will be English for all candidates

Exam Pattern for TG TET 2026
The structure and content of the TGTET
All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.
MEDIUM OF QUESTION PAPER:
The TG TET 2025 question paper will be bilingual. It will be in English followed by the Language-I chosen by the candidate for all languages except Sanskrit. For candidates opting for Sanskrit, the question paper will be in Telugu followed by Sanskrit written in देवनागरी लिपि. This format ensures clarity and accessibility for all candidates during the exam
How to apply?

b) Click on Application Submission.
c) Enter your Journal Number, Date of Payment, Date of Birth given at the time of Online payment. d) Click on “Proceed to fill Application”.
e) The application will be opened.
f) When the application form is opened, Fill all the mandatory fields
g) Click on “Preview” button provided in the bottom of the form for preview before submitting the application.
h) If you find all the details correct, press SUBMIT for final submission.
i) On clicking the “Submit” button the candidate application will be frozen. ‘Please ensure that all the details are filled in properly. Application cannot be edited after final submission.’
j) Candidate will get an SMS to the registered mobile number
Candidates must keep the photograph of 300 KB ready it should be neat and clean and have signature ready on white paper ready for applying.
