Dr Har Singh Gour University PhD Admission. The application form is open for pursuing the PhD from one of the renowned University of Central India. The candidates interested in applying for the PhD programme can apply online and will pay the application fee.

The selection of the candidates is through interview. The date of the interview is not out as yet, candidate will get the intimation regarding this.
Accordingly, Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar has decided to use National Eligibility Test (NET) scores for admission from the academic session 2025-26.

The university allows a maximum extension of two additional years via reregistration under its Statute/Ordinance. The total duration for completing a PhD program must not exceed eight years from the admission date. Female PhD scholars and Persons with Disabilities (over 40% disability) qualify for a further two-year relaxation, capping the total at ten years from admission
Female PHD candidates can be provided maternity leave
NET Score
The marks obtained in UGC-NET-December 2024 or June 2025 (or other in equivalent National Test) shall be score of applicant for admission in Ph.D
If any of the above scores are not available, Percentile score shall be useful.
GPAT score
In case of admission in Ph.D. programme in Pharmaceutical sciences, the NTA score mentioned in the GPAT score card shall be useful. If such score is not provided in the score card, the Percentile Score shall be considered.

Other National Score
The UGC-NET/ UGC-CSIR NET/ GATE/ CEED and other equivalent National Level Test qualified applicant will get admission into the Ph.D. programme in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2022 and subsequent amendments.
The admission will be based on combined merit of NET (or other equivalent national level test) and marks obtained in interview. The same criteria shall be useful for GATE/GPAT or other equivalent national level test qualified applicants. 1.3.3 If obtained marks in National Level Test is Z out of total maximum marks N, then the 70% weightage will be as {(Z/N)x70}.
The marks obtained in the UGC-NET December 2024 or June 2025 by the candidates in Categories 2 and 3 will be valid for a period of one year for admission to Ph.D.
Score of UGC-NET prior to December, 2024 shall not be valid for Ph.D. admission in the university for academic session 2025-26. However, the validity of JRF will be counted form as mentioned in the JRF Award letter.
The validity of JRF shall not be expired on date of admission, failing which the candidature for admission in the Ph.D. programme shall be automatically cancelled.
Admission to Ph.D. programme in Pharmaceutical Sciences will be on the basis of GPAT score. The candidate must have passed M.Pharm. /MS from PCI approved institution/NIPER/Department of recognized University

Eligible applicants will be called for interview (with a research proposal). The Departmental Research Committee (DRC) will discuss the research interest of applicant through presentation (preferably PowerPoint). Apart form research interest, the committee will also gauge aptitude and competence of applicant in research.

Applicants need a valid, active, and self-provided email ID for the application form, which they must check regularly. They also require their own mobile number for form submission. A recent passport-size color photograph (scanned and uploaded in JPG/JPEG format, 10-500 KB) and a signature (made with blue/black pen on white paper, scanned in JPG/JPEG, 10-500 KB) are mandatory.
