AP DEECET 2026 Details

AP DEECET 2026 application form opens in the April 2026 and continue till May first week 2026.  The exam takes place within 10 days after the application period is over AP Deecet 2026  (Andhra Pradesh Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test) is conducted by the Department of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, for admission to 2-year D.El.Ed courses in 97 Government DIETs and over 3,350 private institutes (27,000+ seats). Official notification expected in March 2026 via apdeecet.apcfss.in.​

AP DEECET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

  • Indian nationals satisfying AP local/non-local status.
  • 10+2 or equivalent with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/BC).
  • Candidates seeking admission to Government DIETs and Category ‘A’/’B’ seats in Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions must satisfy:
  • (a) Passed or appeared for Intermediate Examination (or equivalent as per DEECET Committee) to take DEECET, but must pass the qualifying exam before admission.
  • (b) 50% aggregate marks in qualifying exam for ‘A’/’B’ seats; SC/ST/Physically Challenged candidates need 45% minimum for both categories.
  • Minimum age 17 years; final-year Intermediate students eligible if results available by counselling.​

Exam Pattern

Online CBT: 80 MCQs, 80 marks, 2.5 hours, no negative marking. Covers GK, Teaching Aptitude, Language Proficiency (Telugu/English), Mathematics, EVS, Science, Social Studies (Class 6-10 level).​

Application Process

  • Fee: Rs. 750  (General), Rs/500(SC/ST/BC/PH).
  • Online only at apdeecet. apcfss.in: Register, pay, upload photo/signature, submit.
  • Counselling via web options in 3 phases based on merit rank

Admit Card 2026

The card comes out 15 days before the exam date. It will be out online only candidates will download it by entering their credential

Admission Language wise

Candidates who studied Intermediate in English medium are exclusively eligible for admission to English medium seats offered by the respective institution.

Candidates who studied SSC/Intermediate in Telugu, Urdu, or Tamil medium, or studied Telugu/Urdu/Tamil as the first language in SSC (or equivalent), or as one of these languages as a second language in Intermediate, are exclusively eligible for admission to Telugu/Urdu/Tamil medium seats offered by the respective institution.

AP DEECET 2026 Local Area Definition

Local Candidate Criteria

(i): Studied ≥4 consecutive years in a local area ending with qualifying exam year.

(ii): Resided ≥4 years in local area (if not studying) before qualifying exam.

(iii) – Non-local but studied ≥7 years in AP:

  • Local to area with maximum study period, or last studied if equal.
  • If resided ≥7 years in AP (no study): Local to area with maximum residence, or last resided if equal.

Unreserved 15% seats: All candidates eligible.

Answer Key 2026

The answer key will be out after the exam and seeks challenges from the candidates. The candidate have opportunity to challenge any answer key by paying the fixed amount.

Result

The result follows after meeting out the challenges in the answer key and is released in PDF format. The score card is out after the result. To download the score card candidate will log on to the official website with their credential.

Counselling/Seats Allotment

Candidate will get seat through counselling process which will start after a few days gap. Candidates who have qualified the exam will register on the counselling portal and register their choices of course and college

AP DEECET 2026 Qualifying Marks

The candidates will secure at least 50 per cent and for reserved category it is 45 per cent in the written test to be qualified for admission 2026.

How to apply?

Initial steps to be followed before filling Online Application Form

 a) Go to https://cse.ap.gov.in & https://apdeecet.apcfss.in.

b) Click on Application Form.

c) Click on the dialogue box (i.e., WELCOME TO ONLINE APPLICATION)

d) Confirm the next dialogue box (i.e., Fields marked with ‘*’ are compulsory)

e) Enter your Journal Number issued by APCFSS, the date of payment of fees and Date of birth.

f) At the field ‘Attach your latest photograph’ Click on Browse button and attach your photograph and your signature stored on the local machine.

g) Tick the declaration and enter the verification code.

h) Press Upload

i) The application will be opened.

After Opening of Application form Page

When the application form is opened check if the photo is of required size, clear and is of the same candidate of whom the details are to be filled in the application. If the photo is smaller in size, not clear or does not belong to the candidate press ‘BACK’ button below the photograph on the application form and restart with scanning of the photograph.

 Confirm that the photograph is yours and that it is as per the given specifications.

 Fill in the application form as per the instructions given in the User Guide and Information Bulletin and those offered while filling the Online Application Form.

 After filling all the details press PREVIEW button. This will display the details submitted by you

If you find all the details correct press SUBMIT otherwise press EDIT and resubmit the information.

 On submission of application form online the candidate shall be given reference ID number which should be kept carefully for any kind of future correspondence. Submission of application can be considered to have been completed only on receiving reference ID number.

On completion of submission, the candidates shall take a printout of the application and store it for future use. Candidates should not post the printout of the application to DEECET office.
