The application form submission last date is over on 2 February and IIT Bombay scrutinizing the application form submitted by you. It will soon release the list of candidates shortlisted for Interview. The interview date is out.

The Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM), IIT Bombay offers admissions to its flagship MBA programme (2026-28 batch) based on CAT 2025 scores, followed by Personal Interview (PI). The process is currently active (as of early February 2026).

Shortlisting Criteria

Candidates are shortlisted for PI based on:

  • CAT 2025 composite score (highest weightage — around 75%)
  • Academic performance (Class 10, 12, Graduation, etc.)
  • Work experience (duration & quality)
  • Gender diversity (additional consideration for female candidates)

Shortlisted candidates receive email notifications with PI date, time slot, venue (Powai campus), and document requirements.

Important Tips

  • Keep checking your registered email and the official portal frequently — shortlist usually appears 7–14 days after application closure.
  • Prepare for offline PI (March 5–8 window) — focus on academics, work-ex, current affairs, why MBA, why SJMSOM, etc.
  • The interviews will be in-person at IIT Bombay campus (no online mode).
