AIIMS NORCET 9 Exam Pattern Explained 2025

The AIIMS NORCET 9 exam is conducted in two stagesPrelims and Mains. The Prelims exam includes a total of 100 multiple-choice questions, divided into 5 sections, with 20 questions in each section.

You’ll get 18 minutes to attempt each section, so the total exam time is 90 minutes.
Each correct answer gives you 1 mark, but be careful — deduction of 1/3rd mark for every wrong answer.

After clearing the prelims, candidates appear for the AIIMS NORCET Mains Exam, which is the next and necessary step. In the Mains exam, you’ll face a total of 160 multiple-choice questions, divided into 5 sections. The total time given is 180 minutes (3 hours).

Just like the Prelims:

  • Each correct answer gives you 1 mark
  • 1/3rd mark is deducted for every wrong answer
