AP EAMCET 2026: Eligibility criteria, rank for good colleges

AP EAPCET 2026  exam dates will be announced in March 2026. AP EAPCET Agriculture and Pharmacy exam will be conducted on the second week of May, and the Engineering exam will be conducted in the last week of May 2026.

The AP EAPCET 2026 is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada for admission to various engineering, agriculture, Medical and pharmacy courses in Andhra Pradesh.

The EAPCET 2026 is conducted by the Authority functioned on the behalf of the APSCHE (AP State Councill of Higher Education). For Candidates Must have 12th Passed Out Certificate with minimum score of 45%.

All Candidate can apply for this application with different application registration fee. The AP EAMCET 2026 will be available from the month of March 2026. Candidates can check eligibility, application fee, Marking scheme, seats etc. in this article.

How to Apply for AP EAMCET 2026 ?

1 Visit the official website of AP EAMCET i.e. cets.apsche.ap.gov.in .

2 Now click on the link for “AP EAMCET 2024 Registration” available on the homepage.

3 Fill in the required info in the application form.

4: Enter the academic and personal particulars.

5 Upload the mandatory documents in the form.

6 Pay the application fee by online or offline mode.

7 Preview the filled particulars before submitting the application form.

8 Print the application form for future reference.

AP EAMCET 2026: Educational Qualification 

Engineering Courses

  • Candidates must have passed or appeared in 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as core subjects.
  • A minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in the qualifying exam is required.
  • Age Limit: Must be 16 years old as of December 31, 2026. No upper age limit applies.

Agriculture and Medical Courses

  • Candidates must have studied Biology, Physics, and Chemistry at the 10+2 level.
  • Similar percentage criteria (45% for general, 40% for reserved).
  • Minimum age: 17 years as of December 31, 2025.

AP EAMCET 2026: Marking Scheme 

  • Online: Computer-Based Test (CBT).
  • Duration Of Exam – 3 hours.
  • There are 1 mark for every correct answer. 
  • No-Negative Marking. 

The AP EAPCET counselling for 2026

It is conducted online after the exam results are declared. Qualified candidates must register for counselling, pay the required counselling fee (Rs 1200 for OC/BC and Rs 600 for SC/ST), and submit their documents for verification.

The counselling process includes registration, document verification, web options entry (college and course preferences), seat allotment based on rank and choices, and reporting to the allotted institute with the required documents.

Agriculture Rank for admission

  • The minimum qualifying score for general category candidates is 40 out of 160 marks (25%) in AP EAPCET 2025.
  • Competitive candidates usually score above 120 marks, which translates to better ranks for top agriculture colleges.
  • For government agriculture colleges under Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), good ranks for admission to BSc Agriculture and related courses often fall below about 8,000 to 10,000 rank range.
  • Reserved category candidates have relaxed qualifying criteria and seat reservations.
  • Admission cutoffs and closing ranks vary by college, category, and year but typically top agriculture colleges have closing ranks under 10,000 in the general category

These ranks vary based on category and seat availability. Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, is considered the top government pharmacy college in AP with a relatively low cutoff rank due to high demand and reputation.

Many good pharmacy colleges require candidates to qualify AP EAPCET with ranks typically under 20,000 for general category admissions.

For the exact cutoff ranks per college and branch (B.Pharm, Pharm.D, M.Pharm), candidates should refer to official counselling and seat allotment results on the AP EAPCET portal.

In conclusion, a rank under 5,000 is good for top government colleges like Andhra University, while ranks up to 20,000 can secure seats in other reputed private and state pharmacy colleges in Andhra Pradesh
