AP LAWCET 2026 is the Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test for admission to 3-year and 5-year LLB programs. The application form opens generally in March 2026. The exam pattern remains unchanged for both courses, with only the difficulty level vary between them.
AP LAWCET 2026 eligibility criteria are different for the 3-year and 5-year LLB programs. There is no age limit for either course.

Eligibility Criteria
3-Year LLB Eligibility
- A graduate degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Percentage: General category 45%, BC category 42%, SC/ST category 40%.
- Must be an Indian citizen and fulfil Andhra Pradesh domicile requirements.
5-Year LLB Eligibility
- Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Percentage General category 45%, BC category 42%, SC/ST category 40%.
- You are a Indian citizen and fulfill Andhra Pradesh domicile requirements.
Other Notable Points
- Students from open school or those with ITI as their qualification are not eligible.
- No restrictions on the number of attempts for the exam.
- Category-based reservations/relaxations apply only for Andhra Pradesh candidates; outside candidates are considered under the Open Category.

- The fee is payable online only via debit/credit card, net banking, or AP/TS online centers.

Admit Card
- In 2025 the exam was conducted on June 2025, so you expect the AP LAWCET 2026 admit card (hall ticket) will be released online in the last week of May 2026.
- Candidates must download their admit card from the official portal: cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCET by logging in with registration number, qualifying exam hall ticket number, and date of birth.
- You must first check all the details properly, no mismatch should be there as it will stop entering in the examination hall
- Admit card is your entry pass to the exam centre and contains exam details, candidate particulars, instructions, and reporting times.
- Donot forget to print multiple copies for safety and bring a valid photo ID on exam day.

Difficulty Level Insights
- General Knowledge & Mental Ability: Analytical reasoning, basic GK, puzzles; slightly tougher for 3-year LLB aspirants as questions are more logical and require maturity.
- Current Affairs: Questions based on recent events, awards, laws passed; usually straightforward and based on the last 6-12 months, easy to moderate.
- Aptitude for Study of Law: Legal reasoning (principle-fact questions), legal terms, sections of the constitution; for 3-year LLB, concepts and section-based questions may be slightly in-depth compared to 5-year LLB
