CSBC Bihar Police 2025 First Stage: Written Exam
The written test will be conducted for those candidates whose applications are found to be correct.
- The level of the written examination will be of 10th class (Matric) or equivalent level of the Bihar School Examination Board.
- Type Of Questions – Objective Type (OMR Based)
- Total Marks – 100 Marks.

The OMR sheet/answer sheet will be in two copies, out of which one copy will be kept safe with the Board as an invisible carbon copy for one year after the publication of the final selection list.

Minimum Qualifying Marks in the Exam: Candidates securing less than 30% marks in the written examination will be declared unsuccessful for the physical efficiency test.
Second Stage
- Based on the marks scored in the written exam, about 5 times the number of candidates (for each category) will be selected for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
- If there are not enough eligible candidates, the Central Selection Board may reduce this number as needed.
For Male Candidates – 1 Mile Run (1.6 KM)

Note – Candidates who complete the race within time (6 mins for men, 5 mins for women) but fail in the shot put or high jump will be disqualified. They will not be allowed to take part in the remaining events. To pass the test, candidates must clear all events separately. Only the shot put and high jump will have a maximum of 3 chances.
Third Stage – Document Verifications
The Board will verify the documents relating to educational qualification, age, and reservation claim, etc., of the candidates successful in the physical efficiency test.
CSBC Bihar Police 2025: All Necessary Documents
1. Valid Photo ID Proof
Like Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card, etc.
2. Date of Birth Certificate
Original certificate and marksheet of Matriculation (10th) or equivalent exam.
3. Intermediate Certificate
Passing certificate of Intermediate (12th) or equivalent exam.
4. Intermediate Marksheet
Marksheet of Intermediate (12th) or equivalent exam.
5. For SC/ST Candidates
- Caste Certificate (issued by the right authority)
- Permanent Residence Certificate
6. For BC/EBC (Backward Class/Extremely Backward Class) Candidates
- Caste Certificate (issued by the right authority)

- Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (recent one)
- If the certificate is older than 1 year, attach a declaration (Form xviiiB) as per Bihar Government Circular No. 15440 dated 05.12.2017
7. For Freedom Fighter Dependent (FFW) Candidates
- Certificate showing you are a grandson/granddaughter of a freedom fighter (signed by District Officer)

8. For Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Candidates

CSBC Bihar Police 2025: Medical Examination
Before getting the job, all selected candidates will have to go through a medical check-up. During the check-up, the eyes, hearing ability, colour blindness, and stammering (bolne mein hkla pan) will be tested. Only the medically fit candidates will receive the appointment. If a candidate is unfit in the medical test, they will not be eligible for the job.
Will the final merit be made based on the marks of the written exam?
Written examination will not be the basis for the final merit list. Written examination will only be qualifying for the physical efficiency test.

On what basis will the final merit list be prepared?
The final merit list for selection for appointment to the post of constable will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained by the candidate in the three events under the physical efficiency test, viz., running, high jump, and shot put. It will be necessary for the candidate to be successful in these three events separately.
