The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) conducts AME and FC license examinations in three session in a year. The registration process for session 3 has been started today i.e. 28 August 2025. The Last date of registration is 04 September 2025. The examination will take place from 23rd September 2025 to 27th September 2025. The DGCA has already shared the details about through a notification of  the examination centres. And this notification has been announced on the official website of DGCA.

This is the responsibility of DGCA (Directorate General Of Civil Aviation) to conduct the exams for professional in aviation. These include AME License Exams and Flight Crew (FC) License Exams. Eligibility For DGCA AME & FC License Exam 2025

The exam is open to both new candidates and old candidates:

Educational Qualifications

Academic Qualification10+2 Education Certificate from recognized board. (Physics and Math). Candidates who missed physics and math have the opportunity to pursue a pilot training. Non- science Students – Must complete a Course – NIOS ( National Institute of Open Schooling)/ Equivalent.
Medical FitnessCandidates must be medical fit.

Flying Experience

To achieve a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), candidates must meet specific flying experience requirements set by the DGCA:

CPL RequirementsMinimum 200 hours of flying time. Minimum 100 hours as pilot in – command. Minimum 50 hours of cross- country Minimum 5 hours of night flying to demonstrate independent flying skills.
ATPL RequirementsHigher Flying Hours: 1500 hours of  total flying time. 500 Hours as pilot in -command. 100 hours of night flying, In addition – experience on multi engine aircraft.

New Candidates Can Apply Only If:

New CandidatesThey must have already received their Computer Number from DGCA.
Old Candidates.they must be successfully registered on the Pariksha Portal.

How To Apply For DGCA AME & FC License Exam 2025 (Session 3)

The application process is completely online. Candidates have to apply through the Pariksha Portal of DGCA. The portal is available at:

Step -1: Open your search engine and visit on the official website https://pariksha.dgca.gov.in.

Step-2: Carefully read the latest “AME and FC User Manual” available on the portal.

Step-3: New candidates should use their computer number to register.

Step-4: Old candidates can log in with their existing credentials.

Step-5: After login – Click on AME/FC License Examination

Step-6: Now, Fill your application form and Enter all required details correctly.

Step-7: Upload scanned copies of required documents as per the instructions.

Step-8: Pay the examination fee online using available payment methods.

Step-9: Submit your application form for future references.

Examination Day Information & Guidelines

The DGCA has also issued several important instructions for candidates:

  1. Before apply Read Prospectus Manual and Check All information. Please Read the latest AME and FC User Manual because its contains detailed guidelines about the application process, examination rules, and fee structure. Candidates must read it before applying.
  2. After apply candidates must check regularly the Notice Board of the Pariksha Portal. DGCA will upload any new information or updates there.
  3. Application must be submitted online before 04th September 2025.
  4. The application will not be considered valid unless the required fee is paid online.
  5. Must Note, Choose Exam center Carefully. Once allotted examination centre cannot be changed.
  6. The Exam will be held September 23 to 27, 2025.
  7. Don’t forget to take admit card at examination center without admit card you are not eligible to enter into examination center.

DGCA will release admit cards before the exam. The Exam will be held on September 23 to 27, 2025. Candidates should download it from the portal after login.

Exam Syllabus For DGCA AME & FC License Exam 2025

What Happens on Exam Day at DGCA Centers?

Understanding what happens on exam day helps you prepare better. Here is a step-by-step explanation of what to expect:

  1. You must report at the exam center well before time. Usually, candidates are advised to reach at least one hour early.
  2.  Late entry is not allowed.
  3. At the entrance, security staff will check your admit card and valid ID proof. Only candidates with proper documents are allowed inside.
  4. Before entering at examination hall Biometric verification may also be done.
  5. Inside the exam hall, invigilators will explain the rules. You must listen carefully. No electronic devices, books, or papers are allowed.
  6. The exam is conducted on computers. You will be allotted a system with your login details.
  7. The test includes multiple-choice questions. Before the exam starts, a short demo may be given to show how to use the system.
  8. The exam has a fixed duration. Once the timer starts, you must complete the test within the given time. CCTV monitoring is usually active. Any unfair means may lead to disqualification.
  9. After finishing, you must submit the test online and leave the system as instructed. Do not leave the hall until permitted. Results are later published on the portal.
