Education Qualification
A Master of Engineering/Master of Technology (or equivalent) for Ph.D. in Engineering/Science. b) Master in Science (M.Sc. or equivalent) for Ph.D. in Science c) BE/B.Tech with 10 years of research/industrial experience for Ph.D. in Engineering / Science.
Percentage- 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/DGPA. A relaxation of 5 % of marks may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non creamy-layer) / PWD – (Divyang) categories
School of Defence Technology Management
- ME/M.Tech/MBA/MS in relevant discipline. (Science/Engineering/Management) ii) BE/B.Tech with 10 years of research / Industrial experience
NOC
A NOC is required by candidate who is sponsored as a part-time candidate by a government department / public sector undertaking / R & D, with at least five years of relevant experience, who shall work for his/her Ph.D. in his/her parent organization fulfilling the residency period requirement as per Rules & Regulations for the Award of the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy – 2016. The candidate is required to submit a NOC, sponsorship (if any) and work experience certificate from the parent organization. [Annexure I & J]
Project Staff from DRDO Laboratories & DIAT [JRF/SRF/RA] working under sponsored projects may be allowed to register for PhD, subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria AND / OR qualified GATE/NET examination. After completion of project, if the student is qualified in GATE/NET or any other national exams etc. he/she may be eligible for DIAT fellowship as per DIAT rules.
Selection Process
Admission to Ph.D. will be based on the performance in the entrance exam (written test) conducted by the concerned department / school followed by a personal interview.
