FMGE December 2025: The registration process has started today November 14 for screening test of MBBS Doctors who have taken the degree from the country outside India,. The MBBS doctors will have to pass through the screening test held by National Board of Education. NBE conducts FMGE exam two times a year
The registration will close on December 4 2025 It is a screening test for MBBS Graduates, which is twice a year in January and July sessions.
What is FMGE
FMGE a Screening test is conducted to award a license permanent or provisional to practice in India for MBBS degree holders from outside India. They are Indian Citizens of OCI who obtains the MBBS degree overseas
FMGE – FMEG stands for Foreign Medical Graduates Examination. It is a licensure examination by the National Board of Examinations in India.

You are Iindian citizen or overseas citizen of India. The candidate should possess a primary medical qualification.

Exam Scheme
The examination consists of one paper, comprising of 300 multiple choice questions and administered using computer network as per prescribed scheme.
Each question shall have 4 response options/distractors in English language only. Candidates are required to select the correct/best/ most appropriate
response/answer out of the 4 response options provided in each question
The paper shall be delivered in Two parts to be taken in a single day with each part comprising of 150 questions to be attempted in 150 minutes. There is a scheduled break between the Two parts.
Past Trend of Result
The past trend suggest that result has not be very good as the pass percentage in this screening test has been very low. So it is advisable for the candidates who wishes to appear for FMGE must concentrate to clear this
