GATE 2026 Result is NOT OUT yet Official Result Announcement Date: Thursday, 19 March 2026 (expected at 10:00 AM or later)

The answer key challenge is over. Now the candidates are waiting for the result. Not even candidates even many PSUs are waiting for the GATE 2026 result to hire candidates on the basis of GATE 2026 result

GATE 2026 Result Important Dates (Confirmed)

• Result Declaration → 19 March 2026
• Scorecard Download (Free) → 27 March 2026 to 31 May 2026
• Score valid for → 3 years from the date of result announcement
• Defect Rectification (for provisional candidates) → Open till 12 March 2026 (only 2 days left!)

How to Check GATE 2026 Result & Scorecard (When Released)

1. Go to the official GOAPS portal: → https://goaps.iitg.ac.in/login
2. Login using your Enrollment ID / Email ID and Password
3. Click on Result or View GATE Score
4. Your result will show:
   • GATE Score (out of 1000)
   • Marks (out of 100)
   • All India Rank (AIR)
   • Category-wise qualifying marks
   • Qualifying status

You can then download the Scorecard PDF from 27 March onwards.

What to Do Right Now (10 March 2026)

• If your application status shows “Provisional / Marked as Defect” → Login to GOAPS immediately and upload the required documents by 12 March 2026. Otherwise your result may be withheld.
• Keep your Enrollment ID and Password ready.
• Bookmark these two links:

Note: There is no separate merit list. Only individual scorecards will be available. No official answer key challenge window is open now (it closed on 28 February).

After Result (Useful for You)

• Use GATE 2026 score for M.Tech/M.E./PhD admissions (IITs, NITs, IIITs, etc.)
• PSU recruitments (NPCIL already announced for CE, CH, EC, EE, IN, ME papers)
• Direct PhD and research fellowships

Will the result come early? Some past years saw results 1–2 days before the announced date, but no official confirmation of early release this year. Keep checking the GOAPS portal from 18 March evening onwards.
