The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2024 is conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) for candidates aspiring to become Primary Teachers (PRT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), and Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) in government schools across Haryana. The HTET is a mandatory certification for teaching appointments in the state.
Exam Dates and Schedule
- Revised Exam Dates: Now exam will be conducted on 30 and 31 July instead of July 26 and 27, 2025 (rescheduled from December 2024 due to administrative reasons)

Shifts: Two shifts each day:
- Shift 1: 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
- Shift 2: 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM

- Level 1: Primary Teacher (PRT, Classes I–V)
- Level 2: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT, Classes VI–VIII)
- Level 3: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT, Classes IX–XII)
Application Process
- Application Window: November 4 to November 15, 2024
- Correction Window: November 16 to 17, 2024.
- Current Status: Application process is closed. Only candidates who registered during the window are eligible for the July 2025 exam
Eligibility Criteria
- Level 1 (PRT): D.Ed. or B.El.Ed.
- Level 2 (TGT): Graduation in relevant subject + D.Ed./B.Ed./B.El.Ed./B.A. Ed./B.Com Ed.
- Level 3 (PGT): Postgraduate in concerned subject + B.Ed.
Exam Pattern
- Mode: Offline (Pen-and-paper)
- Type: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions)
- Total Questions: 150 per paper
- Marks: 1 mark per question
- Negative Marking: None
- Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes.
