HTET 2025 eligibility criteria
Candidates need 50% marks in relevant qualifications: Senior Secondary + D.El.Ed for PRT; Graduation + B.Ed for TGT; Post-Graduation + B.Ed for PGT. The full details about the eligibility is mentioned at the bottom of this article

Exam Pattern
All levels have 150 MCQs (150 marks, 2.5 hours), bilingual in Hindi/English, no negative marking. Sections include Child Development, Languages, and subject-specific topics.

Visit bseh.org.in, the official Board of School Education Haryana website, to apply for HTET online. The application window for HTET 2025 was open from June 1 to June 5, 2025, with corrections from June 6-7; as of now, it’s closed since the exam occurred in July.
Step-by-Step Application Process
Follow these steps during the open window:
- Go to bseh.org.in and click “Online Registration for HTET” or the application link on the homepage.
- Select “New Registration,” enter details like email/mobile, and submit identification proof (mandatory).
- Upload passport-size photo, signature, and thumb impression in prescribed JPEG format (typically under 50KB).
- Fill personal/academic details (name, DOB from Class 10 certificate, etc.) and review.
- Pay the fee online via net banking/debit/credit card; print confirmation page (no postal submission needed).

HTET 2025 syllabus
HTET 2025 syllabus, released by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH), covers three levels:
One Level (PRT for Classes 1-5),
Second Level (TGT for Classes 6-8), and
Level 3 (PGT for Classes 9-12).
Each level includes 150 MCQs worth 150 marks, with no negative marking, over 2.5 hours, in Hindi/English.
PRT Syllabus (Level 1)
Focuses on primary teaching basics.
- Child Development & Pedagogy (30 marks): Growth, Piaget/Kohlberg theories, child-centered education, diverse learners.
- Languages (Hindi/English, 30 marks total): Grammar, vocabulary, idioms, comprehension.
- Quantitative Aptitude/Reasoning/Haryana GK (30 marks): Numbers, analogies, Haryana history/culture.
- Mathematics (30 marks): Fractions, geometry, mensuration.

HTET 2025 Qualifying Marks
HTET 2025 requires candidates to score minimum qualifying marks out of 150 to pass, consistent across PRT, TGT, and PGT levels.
General/OBC/EWS candidates need 60% (90 marks), while SC/ST/PH from Haryana get a 5% relaxation at 55% (82-83 marks); other state reserved candidates follow the 60% rule.

Level-I-For becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Teacher (PRT)
Qualification Options
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any name), as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007, notified on 31 August 2009. Or
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks + passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any name), as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002. Or
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Or
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). Or
- Graduation + passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any name).
Language Requirement
Matriculation with Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject, or Senior Secondary/Graduation/Post-Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects.
Level-2-For becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) 1) TGT Social Studies
Only diplomas or degree courses in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) qualify for eligibility.
For Diploma in Education (Special Education), only courses recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), New Delhi, are valid.

Subject Requirements in Bachelor’s Degree
Any two of the following subjects with ≥50% aggregate marks individually across all three years: (1) History, (2) Political Science, (3) Economics, (4) Geography, (5) Sociology, (6) Psychology. For Honours degree in one, the other two must be studied in the first and second years.
Language Proficiency

Admit card
The admit card will be out before the exam date. It comes one week before or sometime three days before the exam date. It contains your personal information such as your name, Parents Name, DOB, Exam Centre, Reporting time, and Exam Time. Your admit card also has instruction
HTET 2025 Answer key
The BSEH Haryana will release the answer key to allow candidates to seek challenges. Candidate can file for objection for any by paying the answer key objection fee.
Result
The BSEH will declare the result after meeting the challenges raised by the candidates. This generally takes time. For HTET 2024 the result came after one year. Though they had reopened the application form.
HTET 2025 Certificate
The BSEH will release the certificate for the candidates who have qualified the HTET 2025. The validity of the certificate is for life time until and unless you want to re appear for improvement in some subject
