IIP BS and MS program admission through national entrance test: These are two different programs of IIP BS in packaging technology is a four-year course, and the MS in packaging technology is a different program.

The Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is one of the leading institutes in the field of packaging technology in India. The Institute is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi and functions under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. IIP offers higher education in packaging technology at various levels, including 4-year BS (Bachelor of Science) and 2-year MS (Master of Science) programs. IIP BS and MS Program Admission through National Entrance Test: Admission Process

Admission to IIP’s BS and MS programmes is through the Common Entrance Test (CET), which is conducted by GGSIPU.  Additionally, one can take admission on the basis of some other exams, such as:

  • BS (Packaging Technology): JEE-Advance, JEE-Main, NEET
  • MS (Packaging Technology): GATE, UGC-NET, CSIR-NET

If a student wishes to take admission through the above-mentioned exams, they will have to apply for exemption from CET.

Counselling Dates

  • BS (Packaging Technology): June 23, 2025
  • MS (Packaging Technology): June 24, 2025

IIP BS and MS Program Admission through National Entrance Test: Eligibility Criteria

  • BS (Packaging Technology): Those students who want to take admission in the BS programme must have passed class 12th. Major subjects should be Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology/Agriculture Science/Vocational Science.
  • MS (Packaging Technology): Students who want to take admission in the MS programme must have a Bachelor’s degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Agriculture, Food Science, Polymer Science, or Engineering) is necessary.

Age Limit

  • For BS: Maximum age 21 years (3 years relaxation for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST).
  • For MS: Maximum age 30 years (relaxation for reserved category as per rules).

IIP BS and MS Program Admission through National Entrance Test Placement

IIP graduates get 100% placement in jobs, as IIP said in the prospectus. The institute’s graduate students are employed in top companies in India and abroad. The average salary is Rs 8-10 lakh per annum, while the maximum salary goes up to Rs 40 lakh per annum.
