The official IIT JAM 2026 notification has been released by IIT Bombay, which is organising the exam for the 2026 cycle. The notification has been released today for the admission 2026. Every year, one of the IITs organizes this exam for admission to PG Science courses in the IITs. In 2024, IIT Delhi organized this exam for admission to 2025. Below are the main highlights:
IIT JAM 2026 Notification Released: Schedule
- Notification release: 18 August 2025.
- Application/Registration period: Opens September 5, 2025, and closes October 12, 2025. The application will happen through the online JOAPS portal.
- Admit Card availability: Downloadable from January 5, 2026.
- Exam Date: February 15, 2026 (Computer-Based Test).
- Result declaration: March 20, 2026.

The exam provides admission to around 3,000 seats in MSc, Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD Dual Degree, and other postgraduate programs at 22 IITs for the academic year 2026-27.
