Kanpur, 03 December 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur launched its 2025–26 campus placement season with a record-setting performance on 1st December, securing 672 job offers on the very first day — the highest Day 1 tally ever. This marks an impressive 16% increase over last year’s Day 1 results, underscoring IIT Kanpur’s expanding industry appeal and strong demand for its graduates. With some results still forthcoming, the total number of offers is to grow.
IIT Kanpur PPO Record 2025
By the close of Day 1, 627 students had received job offers, including Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), reflecting a notable 20% increase in placements compared to the previous year. PPOs significantly contributed to this success, with 253 offers recorded—a substantial 27% rise from last season. International opportunities also featured prominently, with nine students landing overseas offers, highlighting IIT Kanpur’s global reach.

Over 250 companies have expressed interest in recruiting IIT Kanpur students this season, with leading names such as Accenture, BlackRock, HSBC, SAP, Airbus, PwC, Navi, Qualcomm, Deutsche Bank, and others actively participating. This broad industry engagement reaffirms IIT Kanpur’s stature as a premier hub for top talent.

The Students’ Placement Office and institute leadership congratulated all successful candidates, thanked the recruiting partners, and emphasized that this record-breaking Day 1 outcome is a testament to the students’ hard work, the faculty’s valuable guidance, and the enduring confidence of the industry in IIT Kanpur.
