IMA Admission 2025-26 | Last Date Extended to May 31

IMA Admission 2025-26 – Apply Now for B.Sc. (Hons) and M.A./M.Sc. Programs: The Institute of Mathematics and Applications (IMA), Bhubaneswar, has extended the last date of registration for admission into BSC and MA/MSC Courses. Now, students can apply for this till May 31, 2025. It works under the Science and Technology Department of the Government of Odisha. Every year, IMA conducts its own entrance exam to admit students into various undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

IMA Admission 2025-26 (Courses)

IMA offers both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses in mathematics and its modern applications.

Undergraduate Course (4 years)

Course Name: B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics and Computing
Total Seats: 45
Eligibility Criteria

• You must have passed Higher Secondary (12th standard) or equivalent examination.
• Mathematics and English must be part of your subjects.

This course is designed for students who love solving problems, enjoy logical thinking, and want a solid based in computing and mathematics. After this degree, you can go for higher studies, research, or work in tech, finance, and analytics industries.

Postgraduate Courses (2 years)

IMA offers two postgraduate programs:

a) M.A./M.Sc. in Mathematics with Computational Finance

• Intake Capacity: 30 seats
• This course focuses on the use of mathematical tools and models to solve problems in finance, such as stock market analysis, risk management, etc.

b) M.A./M.Sc. in Mathematics with Data Science

• Intake Capacity: 30 seats
• This program prepares students for the data-driven world, covering machine learning, statistics, programming, and data handling.

Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses

• You must have a Bachelor’s Degree with Mathematics or Statistics as one of your subjects (either honors or pass course).

These postgraduate programs are ideal for students aiming to build a career in banking, finance, analytics, IT, research, or academia.

IMA Will Launch New Course (Integrated M.Sc. Programs)

IMA also plans to start Integrated M.Sc. programs soon. These programs will be launched after getting approval from the competent authorities. Once approved, more details will be made available on the official website.
