The Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme offers unmarried male and female candidates a sponsored 4-year B.Tech degree at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, leading to Permanent Commission in Executive and Technical branches. Applications for the July 2026 course open soon, with shortlisting based on JEE Main 2025 All India Common Rank List (CRL).​

Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must be born between January 2, 2007, and July 1, 2009 (inclusive). They need to have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 70% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), plus 50% in English (Class X or XII). Appearance in JEE Main 2025 is mandatory for SSB shortlisting.​

Vacancies and Branches

  • Total vacancies stand at 44
  • Branch – Executive and Technical branches,
  • Seats for Women- with a maximum of 7 reserved for women.
  • B.Tech specializations include Applied Electronics & Communication (Executive), Mechanical Engineering (Engineering, including Naval Architect), or Electronics & Communication (Electrical), allocated per Navy needs.
  • Degree-The JNU-awarded degree covers full costs like tuition, books, and mess.​

Indian Navy BTech Selection Process

  • Shortlisting for SSB uses JEE Main 2025 CRL,
  • Interview Date not fixed dates will be out in due course of time
  • Interviw centers-Bangalore, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam.
  • SSB involves Stage I (Intelligence, Picture Perception, Group Discussion) and Stage II (Psychological, Group Testing, Interview over 4 days), followed by medicals. Final merit depends on SSB performance, medical fitness, and vacancies.​

Indian Navy B.Tech Cadet Selection Process & SSB Dates

  • Candidates will be inducted as cadets for the 4 years B.Tech course in Applied Electronics and Communication Engineering,Mechanical Engineering  or Electronics and Communication engineering.
  • After completion of course candidates will get a B.Tech degree from JNU and entire cost will be borne by Indian Navy
  • TA/DA is admissible to the candidates who comes for interview, A third AC ticket is admissible for these candidates
  • Candidates will also bring the photocopy of their passbook where their account number and IFSC code is mentioned. They can also carry cheque book photocopy also
  • Last Date to apply-19 January 2026

  • Complete your profile by entering academic details, including 10th/12th marks, JEE Main 2025 roll number, and rank (mandatory).
  • Upload required documents: passport-size photo, 10th and 12th mark sheets, JEE Main 2025 scorecard, and valid ID proof (ensure legible scans).
  • Review all details, submit the form (no changes allowed post-submission), and download/print the PDF application for records and SSB.
