The Indian Navy has released the notification for the opening Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2025 application form. The application form will be open from August 09, 2025. A graduate degree in engineering is required to apply for this course. The last date of online registration is September 01, 2025. The course will commence from June 2026 at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Eshimala, Kerala.

This recruitment is for various branches, including Executive, Technical, Education, Law, Pilot, and more. The course will commence in June 2026.

 Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria

The recruitment is open to unmarried men and women who meet the required educational qualifications and age criteria. Here are a few key eligibility guidelines:

  • Candidates must have completed BE/BTech, MCA, MBA, MSC, M.Tech or hold a law degree, depending on the branch they are applying for.
  • Candidates must minimum of 60% marks in their qualifying degree to apply for this course.
  • Final Year students can also apply, but must fulfill eligibility criteria before June 2026 and submit final results by 20 June 2026.

The age must be between 02 July 1996 to 01 July 2007 to apply for this course.

Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2025: Posts & Opportunities

1. Submarine Arm

  • Male candidates shortlisted for GS(X), Engineering, or Electrical may volunteer for the Submarine Specialisation.
  • Must indicate their preference while filling out the online application.
  • Final selection depends on medical fitness, vacancies, and service requirements.
  • After successful training, Submarine Allowance will be provided.

2. Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA)

Selected GS(X) officers may be nominated for RPA specialisation based on merit and medical fitness.

3. Merchant Navy Personnel

  • Candidates holding a Certificate of Competency (CoC) from the Ministry of Shipping as Second Mate, Mate, or Master (Foreign Going) can apply for Executive (GS).
  • CoC holders as First-Class Engineers can apply for the Technical Branch.

4. CPL Holders

Candidates with a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by DGCA India can apply for the Pilot entry.

5. NCC Candidates

NCC ‘C’ certificate holders (Naval/Army/Air Wing) with a minimum ‘B’ grade and at least two years of service will get 5% relaxation in cut-off marks.

About Training

  • Selected candidates will join INA as Sub-Lieutenants.
  • Only unmarried candidates are eligible.
  • Married candidates or those who marry during training will be discharged and will have to refund all costs incurred.
  • Probation Period: 2 years (3 years for NAIC officers). Discharge is possible for poor performance during probation.

Salary & Benefits

  • The starting salary of a Sub-Lieutenant is approximately ₹1,10,000/- per month.
  • Eligible allowances (based on role) include:
    • Pilot/NAOO Allowance
    • Rs. 31,250/month
    • Uniform Allowance, Ration, Free Accommodation, etc.

Steps To Apply for Indian Navy SSC Officer Entry 2025

  • Step-1: Open your search engine and visit on the official website of Indian Navy i.e. www.joinindiannavy.gov.in
  • Step 2: If you are a new user, click on “Register” and complete the one-time registration.
  • Step 3: Enter your name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number as per your 10th/matriculation certificate.
  • Step 4: Create a secure password and verify your mobile/email via OTP.
  • Step 5: Log in using your registered email and password.
  • Step 6: Select the relevant SSC Officer Entry (June 2026 Course) from the dashboard.
  • Step 7: Carefully fill in your personal details, educational qualifications, and branch preferences.
  • Step 8: Upload Required Documents
  • Step 9: Preview your application before final submission.
  • Step 10: After submitting, download and print the completed application form.
  • Step-11: Carry this hard copy along with the original documents when called for the SSB Interview.

Keep In Mind Before Applying

  • Only one application per candidate is allowed.
  • Candidates must select all preferred branches; they will not be considered for unselected branches later.
  • Backlogs: Candidates with any pending backlogs at the time of SSB document verification will be disqualified.
  • Medical Standards: Detailed medical and physical standards, including height and tattoo policies, are available on the official website.

Merit List

Join Indian Navy Selection Process will be based on the previous year’s qualifications. After submission application, the authority first uploads the merit list on the basis of the previous year’s qualifications. The candidates, whose names will appear in the list, will be called for the document verification process.

Selection Process for the Posts

Shortlisting

  • Based on normalized marks in the qualifying degree (up to 5th semester for B.Tech and pre-final year for PG).
  • The normalization formula is available on the Navy website.

SSB Interview

  • Shortlisted candidates will be informed via SMS and Email.
  • Candidates must not change their mobile number or email until the process is complete.
  • No requests for change in SSB centers or dates will be entertained.

Medical Examination

  • SSB recommended candidates undergo a detailed medical exam.
  • No requests for changing the medical center are allowed.

Final Merit List

  • Based on SSB performance and medical fitness.
  • Only candidates meeting all criteria will be offered a position at INA, Ezhimala, Kerala.
