| 2 | Am I eligible to register, if my Nationality is other than “Indian”? | No, Only Indian Citizens are allowed to apply for PG admissions in three SPAs. Candidates with Nationality other than Indian, i.e., Foreign Nationals/NRI/PIO shall apply separately through DASA 2026 website. |
| 3 | Can I register multiple times with different mobile number and email ID? | No, the candidate can register only once. In case of any duplicity found by the applicant at any stage may lead to the cancellation of admission. |
| 4 | If I apply now and I do not secure minimum marks/CGPA in the final result of Qualifying Degree Exam, will the registration fee be returned? | No. The Registration fee is non-refundable. If you do not secure minimum marks/CGPA, your seat allotment would be cancelled even if you are provisionally admitted to a specific institute. |
| 5 | Do I need to fill separate application forms if I need to apply for multiple programs in different institutes? | No. You have to fill only single application form. After submission of application form you shall be considered for admission in all programs across the three SPAs based upon the eligibility criteria. |
| 6 | Do I need to pay additional application fee if I need to apply for multiple programs in different institutes? | No. You have to pay an application fee of ₹ 3,500/-, for Indian Nationals. For reserved categories SC, ST, EWS, and PwD categories, the application fee is ₹ 1,750/- which can be paid only once. |

| 8 | What would I have to mention in equivalent percentage, if my University/Institution awarded the marks in CGPA but don’t have any conversion factor/formula to convert CGPA to equivalent percentage? | Mention the grade point scale on which the CGPA has been awarded by your University/Institution. Convert your CGPA to equivalent percentage based on the prevalent conversion rules of UGC/AICTE (if any). In case of non-availability of notified CGPA to percentage conversion rules by the respective University/institute, the JSAB shall do the conversion using a common factor uniformly at the time of document verification during Interaction. |
| 9 | Where can I find the Minimum Eligibility Conditions for a specific program? | “Program Eligibility Matrix” page on the JAAP PG website. Please carefully examine the page, as the conditions of a particular program may appear on multiple rows and be scattered across different parts of the page. |
| 10 | I have multiple GATE scorecards of different years and different papers. Can I apply using more than one of them? | Yes, you can. In case of valid GATE score for different papers, you need to refer the “Program Eligibility Matrix” mentioning the consideration of GATE paper/domain as per the Qualifying Degree. |
| 11 | What preparation needed to fill the application form? | It is particularly important to study the Business Rules and Information Brochure before filling up the Application Form. |
| 12 | Can I select some other qualifying degree available in the dropdown list than what is my own qualifying degree, which is also available in the dropdown list? | No. You must select the same qualifying degree as your own qualifying degree. In case you selected some other qualifying degree and even if it sounds similar and you believe it is similar in nature to your own qualifying degree, because of wrong selection, your allotment may face cancellation and you would only be responsible for the same. |
| 13 | I have an equivalence document, issued by my Institution/College, which states that the degree issued by my Institute, i.e. ABC is equivalent to XYZ. Can I fill my qualifying degree as XYZ in place of ABC? | Yes. You can fill the application |

| 17 | Whether Sponsored candidates are eligible to apply for PG admission through JAAP PG? | No. JAAP PG 2026 is not considering the application of any sponsored candidates. Sponsored Candidates shall apply separately through the official website of respective SPAs for PG admissions. |

| 19 | I have more than one valid GATE scores in year 2024, 2025, and 2026. Which GATE score should I fill in the application? | Fill all the three valid GATE Scores of 2024, 2025, and 2026. The GATE score (out of 1000) shall be considered while assigning the weightage during preparation of merit list. Thus, the software automatically assigns weighted marks for the GATE score of all three years and will consider the highest marks during the preparation of merit list. |
| 20 | I have qualified more than one competitive examination, i.e, GATE in year 2024, and CEED in year 2026. Do I have to fill the details of both GATE 2024 and CEED 2026 in the application? | Yes, you have to fill the details of valid scores of all qualified competitive examinations. The system will consider the competitive examination score based on the competitive exam mapping for a specific program. |
| 21 | I am a final year B.Arch. student and the final semester/year result is awaited. In this situation do I need to fill the CGPA/Percentage of marks obtained till 9th Semester/4th Year? | Yes. In case, the final semester/year result is awaited, candidates need to fill the CGPA/Percentage obtained till latest semester/year. Such candidates shall furnish an undertaking to submit the final year result before the commencement of classes in the respective SPAs’. |
| 22 | What if I have not received my GATE scorecard? Or I have lost my GATE scorecard? | Please contact the GATE office to obtain a scorecard as it will be compulsorily required to be uploaded for document verification after the allotment of a seat. |
| 23 | There is a name discrepancy in the Candidate’s / Father’s / Mother’s name in different certificates / GATE data. What should I do? | At the time of registration write your name as in the 10th Marksheet/Certificate. However, during document verification you can always give an affidavit on Rs. 50/- Stamp Paper stating that the two names belong to the same person and if found false at any stage then my seat will be cancelled. |
| 24 | I am having MA Geography as Qualifying Degree and had worked full time for 2 years after BA? Would it be considered as valid work experience? | No. The duration of full-time work experience shall only be counted after the completion of Qualifying Examination Degree mentioned in the “Program Eligibility Matrix”. Any Internships, Freelance, PartTime work Experience shall not be counted/considered while obtaining the duration of Work Experience. |

| 25 | I wanted to apply in OBCNCL category but don’t have the certificate? Can I apply for the same without certificate? | Yes, you can apply. However, you have to upload an undertaking to provide a valid certificate at the time of Document Verification during Interaction failing which you will be no longer eligible to claim the benefit of that category and shall be considered in GEN Category. |
| 26 | I don’t have the OBCNCL/EWS certificate issued on or after April 01, 2025, which is required by JAAP PG 2025. What should I do? | It is mandatory to submit latest OBC-NCL/EWS certificate issued on or after April 01, 2025. If a candidate does not have the latest certificate, (s)he must immediately get the same before the Document Verification during Interaction failing which her/his category will be changed, and she/he will be considered under GEN category. |
| 27 | I have appeared in GATE exam in General category and qualified the same. I actually belong to SC or ST or OBC or GEN-EWS category. So, will it be possible now to avail the facilities of my category during application filling/counselling? | Yes, you can do so. But you MUST fill in the category very carefully, as you are liable to produce correct certificate at the time of uploading document online, failing which your present-allotted seat may get automatically cancelled, and you will be considered under GEN category for further rounds. |
| 28 | I have a caste/category certificate. How can I check whether the same is valid or not? | Please refer the following link of NCBC list for OBC castes: http://www.ncbc.nic.in/User_Panel/CentralListStateView.aspx. | 29 | How to respond to the query raised by the Document Verifying Officer? | The candidate should login to his/her account on the website and click on “Respond Discrepancy”. Upload the document, if required as mentioned in the query. Please note that candidate should respond within the time duration mentioned, failing which their document verification would not be complete and thus their seat allotment would be cancelled. |
| 30 | I have cleared my pre final year/semester courses and do not have any backlog but my Institute/University have yet not issued the marksheet for the same. What should I do? | Candidate must upload the “Undertaking when the Final Result is awaited” available on the JAAP PG website. |
| 31 | Do I need to carry original documents for verification at the time of interaction? | Yes, Candidates are required to bring the originals of all documents. However, if the candidate does not have the originals with him/her due to any reason, s(he) may submit the self-verified photocopies with an undertaking mentioning the reason of unavailability of original documents and assurance of producing the original documents at the time of physical reporting at the allotted institution. |
| 32 | How do I know about the Programs for which I am eligible for Interaction? | The information regarding the Eligible Applicants, Date of Document Verification and Date of Interaction shall be published on JAAP website. |
| 33 | Do the document verification and interaction in the eligible program shall be happen on the same day? | No. The Document Verification shall be done a day prior to the Interaction. However, the interaction for all eligible program shall be done on the same day itself. Thus, the candidates should come prepared for document verification and interaction considering at least for 2 days. |
| 34 | I am an outstation candidate appearing for document verification and interaction. Can my stay be arranged by/at SPA, Delhi? | No. All candidates should make their own stay arrangements. |
| 35 | How would I get to know about the timings/slots of interaction for the Programs in which I am eligible? | It will be communicated on the date of verification. |
| 36 | What type of documents I have to bring for Interaction? | The candidates may bring the Portfolio of the Work, Thesis/Dissertation report of the Qualifying Examination and any other document as they deemed fit to justify the relevance of your candidature. |
| 37 | I am eligible for the Interaction in 8 Programs, can I have a choice to appear in lesser number as per my preference? | Yes, you can appear only for the programs in which you are interested to pursue further. |
| 38 | What is the next step after the payment of Seat Acceptance Fee and freezing the seat? | Your Provisional Admission is confirmed subject to Physical Verification of documents at your allotted Institute. |

| 39 | Why do I need to upload the copy of cancelled cheque? | In case of Withdrawal, the amount will get refunded to the account details mentioned by you during the payment of Seat Acceptance Fees. These account details will get further verified with the details of the bank account mentioned in the Cancelled Cheque to process the refund amount. |
| 40 | I have to withdraw the seat? After how many days the amount will be get credited in my account? | Maximum 30 working days after completion of Counselling Process. |
| 41 | Am I required to pay seat acceptance fee again if my seat is upgraded based on my willingness of Float/Slide in next round? | No. There is no need to pay Seat Acceptance Fee again. |
| 42 | I have paid seat acceptance fee online, but it is still not successful on the JAAP PG portal. What should I do? | After making online payment, if it is not reflecting instantly, please check the payment status after 4 hours. If still the payment is not confirmed, write to jaappg2026@spa.ac.in with following information in your email: 1. Payment Mode (Internet banking, Debit Card, etc.) 2. Date of payment 3. Amount (Rs.) 4. Debit Account Details (Account Name, A/C Number, IFSC Code) 5. Transaction reference number 6. UTR number 7. UPI UTR reference number (for UPI transactions). |
| 43 | What is Seat Acceptance Fee? Will it be adjusted with the allotted institute fee? | Once a seat is allotted, candidate will be required to deposit Rs. 15,000/- (irrespective of category) towards Seat Acceptance Fee and then upload the required documents and submit willingness as per the procedure defined in the business rules. The Seat Acceptance Fee will later be adjusted in the total fee to be deposited for the respective allotted institute. |
| 44 | What if Partial Admission Fees? Should a candidate need to pay the both in order to retain the allotted seat? | The partial admission fees of Rs 15,000/- is required to be deposited by the candidate, if (s)he wants to confirm her/his seat. This will be a part of the institute fee and will be adjusted against the finally allotted institute’s admission fee. The Partial Admission Fees should be paid in addition to the Seat Acceptance Fees. |
| 45 | I have Chosen my willingness during Round 1 as “Slide”. Can I change it to “Float” or “Freeze”? | You can change it to “Freeze” but not to “Float”. |
| 46 | I have been offered a seat in the 1st round of allotment. I will not be able to accept the seat at this moment. Can I accept the same seat later? | No, if you do not accept the seat in the respective seat acceptance period of the round, you will lose your seat and also be debarred from participating in subsequent regular rounds of JAAP. However, you can participate in Special Rounds, which will be conducted after Regular Rounds. |
| 47 | I was allocated a seat in one of the previous rounds and now I have been allocated another seat of higher preference in my choice list. Can I go back to the seat allotted to me in the previous round? | NO. Once you are allocated a seat of higher preference based on your float/slide option, your accepted seat from the earlier round will be automatically cancelled and you cannot get the previously allotted seat. |

What are “Float”, “Slide”, and “Freeze”? | Willingness attribute during seat allocation round(s) allows the flexibility to a candidate to either retain the allotted seat OR to opt for a change in seat as per candidate’s choice list preference in any of the institutes OR in the same institute in which the seat is allocated. Refer Business Rules for detailed clarification. |
| 49 | What is willingness change? How can I change my willingness? | Change in willingness from “Float to Slide” and “Float to Freeze”, are possible. One can change her/his willingness online by logging into her/his JAAP PG 2026 account during the period given in the schedule on website. |
| 50 | Should I take part in Special Round? | If you are not satisfied with your current allotment, you can withdraw the allotted seat and participate in the special round separately through the official website of respective SPAs. |
| 51 | I took part in the regular rounds and got seat allotment but want to participate in Special Round. Do I need to pay the registration fee in Special Round? | No. |
