JEE Main Session 2 (2026) will be conducted by NTA from April 1 to April 10, 2026, as per the latest announced schedule. JEE Mains Session 2 registration will start in the month of January 2026. Now we will know about JEE Main Exam. This is a national-level engineering entrance exam and its conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in April. This is conducted for admission into undergraduate courses in engineering (B.E./ B.Tech.), Architecture (B.Tech), and Planning (B. Planning) at premier institutes such as NITs, institutions across India.

JEE Main 2026
NTA conducts this Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main) for two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) and Institutions / Universities funded / recognized by participating State Governments. JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. JEE (Main) Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the country
The results of JEE (Main) Paper 1 will be used for B.E/B.Tech, and also other programs like Integrated M.Sc., Integrated M.Tech, Integrated B.Tech and MBA, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of pharmaceutics, Bachelor of Design, etc.

Exam Structure & Eligibility
- Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT) at designated centers.
- Papers: Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), Paper 2A (B.Arch.), Paper 2B (B.Planning).
- Eligibility: Passed/appearing in 12th standard with relevant subjects. Further criteria on age and attempts as per NTA guidelines.
