JENPAS 2025 Exam Overview
- JENPAS UG 2025 exam held on October 18, 2025.

- Cutoffs for top government colleges in BSc Nursing tend to be significantly higher than private colleges, and specific cutoffs can vary a lot based on difficulty and applicant numbers each year.
- For reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC), marks required to qualify for counseling are generally lower than for the general category, but seat availability and college choices affect actual selection.
- The minimum qualifying percentile is to be 45% for General and 40% for SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates.

For the 2025-26 academic year, there are approximately 4,230 seats available through JENPAS UG, spanning both government and private colleges.
Seat Matrix
- A detailed course-wise and college-wise seat matrix will be published by the West Bengal Department of Health & Family Welfare and WBJEEB, generally before the start of counselling.
- The seat matrix includes distribution by course (such as BSc Nursing, BPT, BMLT, OTT, CCT, PT, PA, etc.), institute, and category (General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD).
- Exact seat numbers for each category and specialization are announced in the official seat matrix PDF and updated on the WBJEEB counseling portal.
Course fee
Government College Fee (Approximate)
- BSc Nursing and Paramedical Courses: ₹5,000 to ₹17,000 per year for tuition fees in most government colleges.
- Example: Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education And Research, Kolkata charges around ₹15,000 per year for paramedical courses and less than ₹18,000 per year for BSc Nursing.
- Hostel fees and ancillary charges are usually additional, and can range from ₹4,000 to ₹8,000 per year depending on the college.
Private College Fee (Approximate)
- BSc Nursing: ₹70,000 to ₹3,00,000 per year, depending on the reputation and facilities of the college.
- Paramedical Courses: ₹40,000 to ₹1,50,000 per year for degrees or diplomas. Some top private institutes (like Neotia University, NIMAS, George Group) may charge around ₹1,50,000 per year or more.
JENPAS 2025 counselling
The counselling starts after the result is declared by the board. This is seat allocation process for the students. Both government and private institutions participate in this couselling. For the students will register for the counselling on the official website. Registration process has been explained below
Counselling Steps
- Registration: Only candidates whose names appear on the merit list can register for counselling through the official WBJEEB portal (wbjeeb.nic.in).
- Choice Filling & Locking: Fill in preferences for institutes and courses, and lock choices before the deadline.
- Seat Allotment: Results are released after each round. Allotted candidates pay a seat acceptance fee (₹1,000) and download their provisional allotment letter.
- Reporting & Document Verification: Candidates must physically report to the allotted institution with the allotment letter and original documents for verification. Important documents required include admit card, rank card, 10th and 12th mark sheets, birth certificate, caste or category certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, and a recent photo.
- Final Admission: Admission is confirmed after document check and tuition fee payment at the allotted college.

- Mop-Up Round: After completion of 2 initial rounds, for vacant seats
