JK BOPEE Diploma Admission Seats, Eligibility, Seats and Selection

JKBOPEE conducts entrance exams for 12th-based paramedical diploma courses in Jammu and Kashmir. These programs target students post-12th (typically those in the science stream with a focus on PCB) for roles in healthcare support.​​

It is important to note that if the good number of students are not found for this course JKBOPEE May not conduct the exam. The admission will be offered through last qualifying marks i.e., 10+2

The eligibility for other courses except GNM,ANM and Medical Technologist is simply 12 pass out with physics, chemistry, Maths or Biology or Botany

For other courses there is requirement of percentage that we have given in this article.

JKBOPEE 2026 Admission process

The application form opens in the Middle of April and remains open for 14 days. The whole admission process completes in November/December of that Academic year.

OMR answer sheets of candidates undergo machine grading, scanning, scrutiny, and double-checking with utmost care. Consequently, no re-evaluation or rechecking of OMR sheets is permitted, and no related correspondence will be entertained.

Re-totalling Procedure

Re-totalling of marks is available upon written request, accompanied by the payment receipt of Rs. 1000/- per subject, paid via POS machine at BOPEE offices in Jammu or Srinagar. Applications must be submitted within 3 days of result declaration; those received later will not be accepted.​

JKBOPEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be domiciled in the UT of J&K or UT of Ladakh (for Ladakh candidates, ST certificate from competent Ladakh authority serves as domicile proof).

Additional Eligibility Criteria

  • Must not exceed 35 years of age as of January 1, 2025.
  • Must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board/university with science subjects.
  • Must be medically fit.

Provisional Candidates

Students appearing in or who have appeared for 10+2 (12th class) in 2025 may apply, but must qualify by the CET result declaration date or counselling date as notified by the Board; otherwise, candidature cancels ab-initio.

For GNM Courses Eligibility

Academic Eligibility

  • Passed 10+2 with English, securing at least 40% aggregate and in English individually from any recognized board; State Open School (recognized by State Govt.) or NIOS (recognized by Central Govt.) candidates qualify. Science stream preferred.
  • Or, 10+2 with English and 40% marks in vocational ANM course from a school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
  • Or, 10+2 with English and 40% marks in Vocational stream – Health Care Science from a recognized CBSE Board/Centre.

Lateral Entry Eligibility

For lateral entry to GNM courses, candidates holding a Diploma in FMPHW / MMPHW / ANM, registered with the State Allied & Healthcare Council J&K, qualify without an age restriction.

Additional Provision

Registered ANMs with a minimum of 40% marks also meet the criteria.

ANM Course Eligibility

Candidates must hold domicile of the UT of J&K or UT of Ladakh (ST certificate from Ladakh’s competent authority serves as domicile proof for Ladakh residents).

Age and Academic Criteria

  • Age: 17 to 35 years as of December 31, 2025.
  • Minimum education: 10+2 in Arts (subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) with English core/elective, or Science, or Health Care Science-Vocational stream from a recognized board; NIOS 10+2 Arts/Science qualifiers eligible.
  • Must be medically fit.

  • Age limit as of December 31, 2025: 17 to 28 years for General/Reserved Category candidates.
  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board/university in any stream with ≥50% marks (Open Merit) or ≥40% marks (Reserved Category).
  • Must be medically fit.

Provisional Eligibility

Candidates appearing in or who appeared for 10+2 (12th Class) in 2025 may apply provisionally, but must pass the exam before CET result declaration or counselling date (as notified by the Board); failure results in candidature cancellation ab initio.

Step-by-Step Application Guide

Visit jkbopee.gov.in and navigate to the “Exams” tab, then select the paramedical entrance option. Register as a new user by providing basic details to get login credentials, then fill the form with personal, educational, and domicile info.​

Upload scanned photo, signature, 10th/12th marksheets, category/reserved certificates (100-200 KB, 150 dpi JPG). Pay the fee (around ₹1500 general, lower for reserved) via net banking/card.​

Submit, print the form, and track status via application number. Corrections were allowed in a specific window post-submission.​

The question paper consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions across several stapled pages in one booklet. Questions test 10th-standard level knowledge, understanding, and application; all are compulsory with 0.25 negative marks per wrong answer.

Qualifying and Exam Rules

Candidates scoring below 10 marks (or as fixed by the Board) in the Entrance Test will not qualify for admission. No markings allowed on the Question Booklet—use its included rough work paper.

Booklet Details

Each Question Booklet features one of four series (A, B, C, D) printed on the cover. Candidates may take their Question Booklets home after the test.

Exam Day Timeline

  • 09:30 AM: Invigilator verifies each candidate’s identity by matching facial appearance with admit card photo and attendance sheet; Centre Supervisor ensures no impersonation.
  • 09:45 AM: Candidates receive OMR Answer Sheet, read instructions, and fill in particulars.
  • 09:55 AM: Question Booklet issued; candidates note its number on the Answer Sheet.
  • 10:00 AM: Seal broken, exam starts.
  • 12:00 PM: Candidates stay seated, submit OMR Answer Sheets to Invigilator, retain Question Booklet and OMR candidate’s copy, and exit only when permitted.

Merit Determination Rules

Merit lists rely on 12th class aggregate marks if no entrance exam occurs.

Entrance Exam Merit Process

Selection hinges on entrance test performance and eligibility. The Board ranks candidates in descending order by test marks for Open Merit and each Reserved Category separately.​

Reserved Category Handling

Inter-se merit governs seat allotment within reserved categories at Government Para-medical Colleges. Unfilled reserved seats transfer to Open Merit candidates in strict merit order.​

Tie-Breaking Criteria

Ties in entrance test marks resolve sequentially by:

  • Biology component marks.
  • Chemistry marks if Biology equal.
  • Physics marks if Biology/Chemistry equal.
  • Older candidate age if all science marks identical Marks
