HPCL Graduate Engineer Apprentice 2026-27
The application form is open for recruitment of Graduate Engineer as an apprentice in HPCL one of the largest oil refinery PSU in India. It is recruiting engineer graduate for its various division, is engaging 608 Graduate Apprentice Trainees (Engineering) for a one-year apprenticeship program under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
The program is for engineering graduates in specific disciplines and offers hands-on training across various locations in India. The apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment but provides valuable experience and a monthly stipend.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Must have a bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in one of the specified disciplines from a recognized university/institute.
- Minimum aggregate marks: 60% for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates;
- 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- Engineering Graduates in Civil/Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation streams who have completed Engineering Graduation after 01-04-2023 onwards are eligible to apply. Candidates who have completed engineering before 01-04-2023 are not eligible for apprenticeship training
- Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as on March 2, 2026.
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NC, 10 years for PwBD (additional relaxations for combinations as per government norms).
- Other Requirements:
- Fresher candidates only (no prior work experience).
- Must be Indian nationals.
- Registration on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) 2.0 portal (portal.mhrdnats.gov.in) is mandatory before applying.
- Not enrolled in any other apprenticeship or employed elsewhere.
Selection Process
- Merit-based: No written exam or interview.
- A merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks in the qualifying degree.
- Shortlisting ratio: 1:5 (candidates per vacancy) for document verification.
- Final selection after verifying documents, medical fitness, and police verification.
- Candidates must accept a tri-partite contract on the NATS portal.
- Shortlist and merit list will be published on the HPCL website.

Follow these steps to complete your HPCL Apprentice application on http://jobs.hpcl.co.in/Recruit_New/recruitlogin.jsp.
Step 1: New Registration
Click “Sign up for New Registration.” Enter your details to register. You’ll receive login credentials (email ID and password) via email from the HPCL Apprentice Team.​
Step 2: Login
Sign in using the credentials sent to your registered email. Note: Only one application per candidate is allowed—multiple submissions will be rejected.​
Step 3: Fill Personal Details
Read instructions carefully. Select your Engineering Branch from the dropdown as listed in the advertisement. Complete mandatory (*) fields, then click “Validate your details.” Correct any errors and click “Save & Next.”
Step 4: Add Contact Details
Enter correspondence and permanent addresses, plus contact number. Choose one State of Training from the dropdown. Validate, then “Save & Next.”​
Step 5: Qualification Details
Upload a recent passport-sized photograph and signature.​
Step 6: Review and Submit
Preview all details—edit via “Back” if needed. Read the declaration, check the boxes, and click “Final Submit.” A confirmation email with your HPCL Application Number will be sent.​
Important Notes
- Reservations apply as per government guidelines for SC/ST/OBC-NC/EWS/PwBD.
- Candidates can apply for only one discipline and up to three preferred states.
- Ensure all details match your certificates; discrepancies may lead to rejection.
