Law Internship in CBI 2025: Application Process and Important Dates

Law internship in CBI starts on 15 May: If you are a lawyer and you wish to work for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), then CBI is opening applications for the Law Internship Scheme 2025. In this recruitment process, only 30 law students will be selected as interns. These interns will work with CBI officers in different cities of the country like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow and Bangalore. If you are a law student and want to see a good institution in your resume, then do not miss this opportunity.

Appearing candidates in their last year of study can also apply.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • The applicant must be enrolled as a student of Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at a reputed Law University/Institute in India.
  • For five-year LLB course: If you are doing five years LLB degree then candidate must be in or have completed the eighth semester.
  • For three-year LLB course: The applicant must be in or have completed the fourth semester of their degree.

Terms and condition of Internship:

  • There will be no payment during the internship programme.
  • CBI department will not make any arrangements for accommodation or any travel.
  • No medical facilities will be provided during internship.
  • There will be no right for future employment in CBI department.
  • Interns will have the opportunity to assist in case research, presenting evidence, examining witnesses, trial work and data collection during their tenure as an intern.
  • An “Oath of Secrecy” will have to be taken during the internship programme.

Internship duration:

The internship will be for a duration of three to six months.

  • Recent photograph (.jpg format, max 2MB)
  • Signature (.jpg format, max 2MB)
  • Date of Birth certificate (.pdf format, max 2MB)
  • All marks certificates from 10th class onwards (.pdf format, max 2MB)
  • Enrolment status certificate from current institute or college (.pdf format, max 2MB)
  • Recommendation letter also required from the head of the institute (.pdf format, max 2MB)

  4. Fill all the asking details.
  5. Submit all asking documents and then click on submit button.
  6. Take a print out of the application form for future refrences.
