Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) has officially announced the exam date and syllabus for the Apprentice Recruitment 2025. The online examination for 523 Trade Apprentice posts will be conducted on 2nd August 2025 across multiple cities including Mumbai, Thane, Nashik, Pune, and Nagpur. Candidates who have applied can download their MDL Admit Card starting 18th July 2025 from the official website – mazagondock.in.

MDL Apprentice Syllabus & Pattern 2025
The exam paper will have 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) divided into four key sections, with 25 questions each. The syllabus varies based on the candidate’s category:
(Non-ITI Group – SSC/10th Pass): Class A
- Subjects: English & General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
- Questions: 25 from each subject (Total: 100)
(ITI Pass – Fitter, Electrician, Draftsman, etc.): Class B-1
- Subjects: English & General Knowledge, Trade Theory, Workshop Calculation & Science, Engineering Drawing
- Questions: 25 from each subject (Total: 100)
(ITI Pass – Plumber, Welder, COPA, Carpenter): Class B-2
- Subjects: English & General Knowledge, Trade Theory, Workshop Calculation & Science, Engineering Drawing
- Questions: 25 from each (COPA will have 75 from technical and 25 from English & GK)
(Non-ITI Group – Rigger, Welder): Class C
- Subjects: English & General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
- Questions: 25 from each subject (Total: 100)
