MTech Petroleum Engineering last date is 22 June. A specialized program with advanced, industry-aligned curriculum and AI/ML applications in energy. The program is open to foreign and Indian nationals, along with sponsored candidates, with an intake capacity of 20 seats. The objective of this program (M.Tech) in Petroleum Engineering is to provide advanced education and training in the exploration, production, and management of hydrocarbon resources. IPE has collaborated with Oil Majors like HPCL, IOCL, ONGC, GAIL, OIL India, OIDB, BPCL, and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

Eligibility Criteria of MTech Petroleum Engineering

For Indian Nationals (Regular Candidates)

• A 4-year B.Tech. / B.E. degree in Petroleum, Petrochemical, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
• Must have a first-class or minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CPI in the qualifying exam.
• For SC/ST students, a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CPI is required.
• A valid GATE score is required.

Sponsored Candidates

• A 4-year B.Tech. / B.E. degree in Petroleum, Petrochemical, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering, Civil Engineering or an M.Sc. in Geology/Geophysics.
• Must have a first-class or minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CPI in the qualifying exam.
• For SC/ST students, a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CPI
• A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the sponsoring organization/industry must be submitted at the time of the interview.

For Foreign Nationals

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a Master’s degree in appropriate Sciences with a good academic record.
• Must submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP), letters of reference, and work experience (if applicable).
• International students with a UG degree from India must have a valid GATE score or undergo an online interview.
• The Department/School/Centre may impose additional admission requirements.
