National Youth Award 2024
The nomination is open by the Ministry of Youth affairs to award youth of india of their contribution to the society. This involves the achievement of excellence in the field of national development or social service and the purpose is to develop in them a sense of responsibility to the community and thus to improve their own personal potential as good civizen
The youth will get awarded for their outstanding work done voluntarily for national development and or social service

Who can participate in this award?
An Indian citizen
You are falling in the age group of 15-29 on 1 January 2025 at the time of nomination
You have done extra ordinary identifiable social work
Who cannot Participate
People working in government service with central,state or Government PSUs,universities,college or schools etc.
For Voluntary Organization
The organization have the registeration with Societies ACT 1860(Act XXII of 1860) for the last three years or under corresponding state act and have proper constitution or article of association
These instituions have a properly constituted managing body with its powers and duties clearly defined in its constitution, above all it should Non profit organization
The Non-Profit organisation should be in a position to secure the involvement on a voluntary basis of knowledgeable persons for furtherance of its programmes.
There is no caste discrimination by these organisations on grounds of sex, religion, caste or creed.
These have done extra ordinary service involving the Youth in the relevant field for the three years
Organization in a good reputation among the local community and areas
Should not be the recipient of this award earlier
Decoration
The Individual award will comprise of medal, a certificate and Rs. 1 lakh cash. The individuals will receive the prizes in their traditional attire.
Award to voluntary youth organisations will comprise a medal, a certificate and Rs. 3 lakhs cash.Â

20 in Individual category and 5 for organization category
Who can nominate?
Universities/college,local development department,voluntary agencies,private bodies,PSU, Nehru Yuva kendra,NSS etc., can send nomination
For Individual they can submit their recommention to the state government. These individual and organization will upload the recommendation obtained from the state government on the portal
It is the prerogative of the Selection Committee to select any candidate for being considered for the award.
Other mode: an individual or organisation may also apply directly to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports if their application have the recommendation of the head of institution( school/college/university)/SDM/DM/District collector of the area/District or any officer not below the rank of Deputy secretary in the government of India
.Nomation is acceptable in Hindi or English no other language is
Selection Process
There is a two-way process in the first stage, the screening committee, under the chairmanship of the Joint Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, will screen all the applications and propose the names of the awardees three times the number of awards to be given.
Now Second stage the the of Central Selection Committee, Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, Government of India will scrutinize all the recommendations of the Screening Committee and make the final selection of the Youth Awards. The Central Selection Committee will also have power to consider any other case based on the merits.
Ceremony Details
Presentation of the award shall be made at a special ceremony on a convenient date and time to be announced every year.
