NCERT Prayas 2025 for scientific research, students can apply-NCERT PRAYAAS 2025 invites project proposals for carrying out research/ investigation on an original Scientific research. The objective of the programme is to develop scientific attitude in the students. Students can check grants, eligibility, and the mode of application, tenure of this project. The Application form is open till 31 August.

Tenure

The project tenure is for one year from the date of commencement of the project in school to completion. Tentative date of tenure will start from 16 October 2025 . Heads of Schools and HEIs for the selected projects will facilitate the project work during their tenure and ensure completion of the project by the end of their tenure. The NCERT will upload the student’s research work on web-site.

For students

The students’ age should be 14-18, and they are students in classes IX to XI.The students of any school can participate in this Prayas Project. Student can participate the Group but its limitation is two students along with a teacher at their school and an expert from HEI( Higher Education Institute)

For Teachers

A qualified Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) or equivalent who is teaching Science/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics and Biology to classes 9 to 12, are eligible to become a “PRAYAAS” Guide Teacher under the PRAYAAS scheme.

Research Grant

A grant of total Rs. 50,000/- (Rupee Fifty Thousand only) for each selected research proposal. Out of this amount, Rs. 10,000/- will to the student (Rs. 5,000 each in case of two students) and Rs. 20,000 each student will get HEI expert as a catalytic grant to facilitate the students in conducting the research.

The grant will be released in two installments to the students/school/ Expert from HEIs

How to apply?

The more information is available at the website. Students can send their application and project proposal, which they intend to undertake online, to the email id prayascert@gmail. in the prescribed format

The format for sending the application in HTML and PDF. The students who are willing to fill out their applications may download the HTML format and fill up and type the entries or they can download the PDF format and fill-up the entries by hand after filling of the application form. They may get the form duly signed with seal by the School Head. The student will scan the duly typed and completed applications and send to prayaasncert@gmail.com

Important Points

The research proposal should clearly state the aim, principle, materials and equipment required (though tentative), the institute will adopt the research methodology for the study and the expected outcome of the research which they wish to undertake.

Selection Process

. Originality of the Research proposal (20%)

Scientific Thought/Principle (10%) 3. Scientific Methodology will follow for performing Research (10%)

The relevance of proposed research for solving local problems, or the generation of scientific knowledge (20%)

Environmental efficacy and sustainability (20%)

Explanation and clarity of the proposed research project proposal and write-up (20%)

Only 20 presentation comprising ten students will be chosen from rural areas, both government and non-government and NCERT will use similar formula in the Urban school. The ratio is 50 per cent government students and 50 per cent non-government students

Result

Result will be sent to the students, their mentor,guide.
