General Eligibility for NCET 2026
To appear for the NCET 2026 exam, candidates must meet the following criteria (applicable across all courses, with admission subject to institution-specific rules):

Educational Qualification:
The candidates must have 10+2 pass out certificate and have secured at least 50 percent in the the last qualifying exam. For reserved category it is 45 percent
Appearing Candidates can also apply but will submit the documents after the NCET 2026 result at the admitting institution
- Age Limit: No upper or lower age limit.
- Nationality: Indian citizens only.
- Reservations: Follows central government norms: 10% for EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 5% horizontal for PwD (across categories). Relaxations in minimum marks apply as per category.
- Number of Attempts: No limit on attempts.

The eligibility is according to the course can differ college wise, the NTA notice does not mention any subject specific qualification it only mentions about the 10+2 with 50 percent marks. Individual institution such as IITs and NITs may apply subject specific condition for admitting the candidates for this four year course
