NCET 2026 Exam Pattern
The application form opened today 12 February for four Year B.ED courses in IITs. NITs and RIEs for the academic yer 2026. The candidates will have appear for entrance test to get admission in the 223 institution spread across India.

The candidates who has NCET 2026 will get admission in the institution that he/she not chosen during the application form submission time. The candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria of the institution that he/she wants to apply

Domain subjects must align with university/course requirements (e.g., Physics, Chemistry for science programs). Exam conducted in multiple shifts/days based on applicant volume.
Language Test Syllabus
Focuses on Reading Comprehension (containing different passages), Literary Aptitude, and Vocabulary. Tests comprehension, inference, and language proficiency through varied question types.
Domain Subjects & Teaching Aptitude
Detailed syllabus available on NTA website (https://exams.nta.nic.in/ncet/). Domain subjects match Class 12 NCERT curriculum for chosen fields; Teaching Aptitude includes teaching-learning concepts, learner characteristics, pedagogy for subjects like Science, Arts, Mathematics, Performing Arts, and Languages.
General Test Syllabus
- General Knowledge & Current Affairs: Static GK, recent events.
- General Mental Ability: Pattern recognition, sequences.
- Numerical Ability & Quantitative Reasoning: Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, statistics (basic applications).
- Logical & Analytical Reasoning: Syllogisms, analogies, puzzles.
