NEET UG 2025 Marks Required for MBBS Admission: The result will be announced shortly by NTA on the official website. If everything goes well, it will be declared on the original date as shown in the prospectus on June 14. What rank is good for getting admission in the MBBS college, both in government and private? Pursuing an MBBS from a government college is a little cheaper than from private institutions. The private institution fee is higher than that of government colleges. Qualifying Marks (Minimum Eligibility)

To be eligible for MBBS admission through NEET UG 2025, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifying marks (also called the cutoff percentile):

  • General/Unreserved (UR): 50th percentile (expected marks: 720–155)
  • OBC/SC/ST: 40th percentile (expected marks: 154–125)
  • General-PwD: 45th percentile (expected marks: 154–135)
  • SC/ST/OBC-PwD: 40th percentile (expected marks: 135–125)

These are the minimum marks required to qualify for NEET and become eligible for the counseling process.

Marks Required for Government College MBBS Admission

Qualifying for NEET does not guarantee an MBBS seat, especially in government colleges, where competition is intense and cutoffs are much higher.

  • All India Quota (AIQ) Government MBBS Colleges:
    • General/EWS: 530–560 marks (expected for 2025)
    • AIIMS Delhi: 660–670 marks (expected cutoff)
  • Safe Score for Government MBBS Colleges:
    • General: 610–650 marks
    • OBC: 590–630 marks
    • SC: 500–550 marks
    • ST: 450–500 marks
  • State Quota (varies by state):
    • For top government colleges, the cutoff may be slightly lower or higher depending on the state and category. For example, in Delhi, the UR cutoff is around 623–627, while in UP it is 585–595
