Language Options

Candidates choosing English receive the Test Booklet solely in English. Those selecting Hindi get a bilingual version in English and Hindi. Regional language opt-ins provide booklets in English plus the chosen language (e.g., English + Tamil for Tamil selection).​

Key Rules

In case of translation ambiguities, the English version prevails, with NTA’s decision final. Qualifying candidates remain eligible for All India Quota, State quotas, and institutes regardless of medium, subject to other criteria.

Exam Pattern

Candidates face 180 multiple-choice questions across Physics (45), Chemistry (45), and Biology (90, split Botany/Zoology), totaling 720 marks over 3 hours 20 minutes.​
Negative marking applies (+4 for correct, -1 for wrong); 13 language options include English, Hindi, and regional languages.​
Syllabus aligns with NCERT Class 11-12; eligibility requires 10+2 with 50% in PCB (relaxed for reserved categories), minimum age 17 years.

Application form submission is the important and first step to appear for the NEET UG 2026. Let us understand full process right from creating the user id and password, uploading the documents and photo,signuature and thumb impressions.

Step-by-Step NEET 2026 Application Process

Registration Process:

 Begin by accessing the Online Application Form to register and receive a system-generated Application Number.

Provide all required personal details during registration, create a PASSWORD, select a Security Question, and enter its Answer (in small caps). Upon submitting these details successfully, the Application Number generates automatically—this unique identifier completes the remaining form steps and serves for all future logins, references, or correspondence. For later access, log in directly using the Application Number and your created Password.

Candidates can access the Application Form by logging in with their system-generated Application Number and pre-created Password. Complete the form by entering detailed personal information, selecting the Question Paper medium and preferred Examination Cities, providing Educational Qualification details, and uploading required images and documents.

Upload a scanned recent passport-size photograph (taken after January 1, 2025), your signature, left and right hand finger and thumb impressions, Citizenship Certificate (if applicable), Social Category Certificate (or “Applied for” status), Class X Marksheet and Passing Certificate (or equivalency certificate converting CGPA/Grades to percentage, including DOB), and PwBD/PwD Certificate (if applicable)

Photograph Requirements
Use a recent color photograph showing 80% of the face (no mask, ears visible) against a white background.​

Verify your photograph and signature carefully before submitting the Application Form. Blurred or unidentifiable images will lead to outright rejection, with no correction or revision allowed.

Upload only your own recent photograph (taken on/after January 1, 2025), signature, left/right hand finger & thumb impressions, and required certificates—never someone else’s—in the correct format. No corrections will be allowed later. Using another’s details, tampering with Admit Card/Result/Scorecard, or related violations will be deemed Unfair Means (UFM) Practices, triggering actions as per the Information Bulletin.

NEET UG 2026 Application Fee Payment

After completing Steps 1 and 2, candidates must pay the required examination fee online via Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI only. Processing charges and GST apply extra, as charged by the bank/payment gateway. The Confirmation Page generates solely upon successful payment.

If the Confirmation Page fails to generate after fee payment, contact the relevant Bank/Payment Gateway using the helpline number and email listed in the Information Bulletin to verify payment success or request a refund for duplicates/multiples.

Post-Payment Steps

Download, save, and print the Confirmation Page (available only after successful fee remittance) for future reference.
