Candidates need a Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) or equivalent CGPA from UGC-recognized universities or Ministry of HRD-approved equivalents.
Percentage/CGPA Calculation
Universities calculate percentages per their norms; for CGPA without conversion scheme, use (Candidate’s CGPA / Max CGPA) × 100.
Final-Year Candidates
Those in final year or awaiting results qualify if they provide Principal/Registrar certificate confirming 50% marks (45% reserved) on latest grades.
Provisional Admission Rules
Selected candidates join provisionally with completion certificate; submit final mark sheet and passing certificate by October 31, 2026, or admission cancels.
Key Restriction
NIBM bars joining if candidates rewrite exams, ensuring degree completion.
Selection Process
Applicants must take the CAT 2025 conducted by IIMs or GMAT for screening into NIBM programs. CAT/GMAT scores serve as the benchmark for shortlisting, with candidates optionally indicating NIBM (non-IIM institution) interest during CAT registration.
Screening Process
IIMs and other institutions play no role in NIBM’s selection beyond providing CAT scores, which remain the primary criterion for applicant shortlisting.
Key Notes
GMAT scores qualify equally for screening; no separate NIBM test required, ensuring focus on standardized national/international benchmarks.
NIBM sets category-wise CAT score thresholds based on applicant numbers from each socio-economic group to ensure balanced shortlisting. These minimums guarantee admitted PGDM (B&FS) candidates possess the competence needed to handle program rigors
