Eligibility
I&FS
Eligibility for Industrial & Fire Safety (I&FS) roles requires specific engineering qualifications with a minimum 60% aggregate marks, as per the provided criteria.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering), a 5-year Integrated M.Tech, or M.E. degree specifically in Industrial & Fire Safety from an AICTE/UGC-recognized university or institute. The 60% minimum is calculated per the university’s ordinance.
Acceptable Disciplines
These engineering degrees qualify under I&FS:
- Health Safety & Environment
- Fire & Safety Engineering
- Safety & Fire Engineering
- Industrial Safety & Fire
- Fire & Industrial Safety
- Industrial & Fire Safety
- Industrial & Fire Safety Engineering
- Fire & Industrial Safety Engineering
- Industrial Safety Engineering & Fire
- Industrial Safety Engineering
- Fire Technology & Safety
Candidates with a 5-year integrated M.Tech/M.E. degree in the relevant Industrial & Fire Safety discipline (minimum 60% marks) are eligible, provided they meet all other criteria.
Strict Discipline Rules
Only the explicitly listed disciplines qualify—no equivalents or variations are accepted.
Ineligible Qualifications
- BE in Fire Engineering
- BE in Fire Engineering + 1-year Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety
These restrictions ensure precise alignment with role requirements.
Physics
Eligibility for Physics positions requires specific M.Sc. qualifications with Physics and Mathematics background and a minimum 60% aggregate marks.
Qualifying Degrees
- Full-time M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics, with Physics and Mathematics at B.Sc./subsidiary level.
- Full-time Integrated M.Sc. in Physics (Physical Science) or Applied Physics, with Physics and Mathematics at ancillary level.
Marks Requirements
- All M.Sc./Integrated M.Sc. candidates need ≥60% aggregate (or equivalent) in the qualifying degree.
- Non-integrated M.Sc. applicants must also have ≥60% aggregate in B.Sc.
Ineligible Degrees
M.Sc. in Medical Physics, Chemical Physics, Geophysics, or similar specialized fields do not qualify.
Provisional Applicants
Candidates awaiting final 2026 results may apply if otherwise eligible. Selected applicants must submit proof of degree completion and ≥60% marks by November 30, 2026.
NPCIL Executive Trainee recruitment under Physics Discipline involves stream allocation to either Health Physics or Reactor Physics based on organizational vacancies and candidate preferences.
Stream Preferences
Applicants must indicate their choice of stream (Health Physics or Reactor Physics) directly in the online application form at npcilcareers.co.in.
Allocation Criteria
Final assignment prioritizes merit position from CBT and interview scores, followed by the preference order submitted—no changes permitted afterward. This applies to the 20 Physics vacancies announced for ET-2026.
NPCIL Executive Trainee final selection emphasizes Personal Interview performance over CBT scores.
Selection Process
No weightage is given to Computer Based Test (CBT) marks. Final merit depends solely on Personal Interview (PI) scores out of 100, subject to medical fitness clearance.
Qualifying Marks
- Unreserved: Minimum 70%
- EWS/SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD: Minimum 60%
Candidates meeting these thresholds proceed based on PI ranking within their Physics stream preference.
NPCIL Executive Trainee applications are accepted exclusively through the online portal at www.npcilcareers.co.in.
Application Rules
Use only the designated online form—no handwritten, typewritten, email, or physical submissions are valid. Do not send documents, certificates, or hard copies to NPCIL until after interview shortlisting.
Key Advice
Complete registration, fill details, upload photo/signature, select stream (for Physics), and submit online before the deadline (typically early March 2026 for ET-2026). Verify all info on the site post-submission.
